Two attendees were ejected from Republican National Convention on Tuesday for throwing nuts at a black CNN camerawoman. The individuals told her "this is how we feed animals" as they threw the nuts, multiple witness said.
Convention security and police removed the two from the convention centre shortly after the incident.
In a statement, convention officials said the attendees had "exhibited deplorable behaviour".
"Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated."
The identities of the two ejected was unclear. News broadcaster CNN confirmed the incident but had no additional comment.
The incident happened on Tuesday in the Tampa Bay Times Forum, where delegates officially nominated Mitt Romney as the Republican candidate to face President Barack Obama in the November presidential election.
I really don't get how some people think that this is ok...
does the fact that she was black have anything to do with this

yes, they thought she was sub-human:
"this is how we feed animals"
Did you even read it?
does the fact that she was black have anything to do with this
Well they did throw nuts at a black camerawoman telling her "this is how we feed animals". Hard not to think of a zookeeper feeding a bonobo.
Glad they were ejected.
It's ironic because the symbol of the Republicans is the elephant, and elephants love nuts. Elephants are also an animal, so this was a mixed message at best.
They threw Republicans at her?
does the fact that she was black have anything to do with this
This is why we need the Bad Reading rating back.
And I wasn't even here for it.
Idiots will forever exist within the human species. I hope all this political bullshit topples over itself one day.
She's obviously just being called an animal because of her ties with CNN, which these folks had a small problem with.
All you kneejerk bleeding hearts need to simmer down with your angry politics, or take it back to a country that listens
"It's not creepy to love America" is what I'm getting from those two freaks.

I don't think I've ever heard of someone being called an animal because of their ties with news channels.
Now being called an animal because of their race? That's something I have heard.

So the incident made you associate black people with chimps?

Hell even a zookeeper shows more respect for an animal than those guys for this person.

You've obviously never seen the comments on FOX. Media hounds, Obama's dogs, liberal chimps, etc. I think it has to do with her being black, but it's hard to say without the facts.
So the incident made you associate black people with chimps?
Is that what we're gonna do in this thread? We're gonna fight?
So the incident made you associate black people with chimps?
They're already associated with monkey and chimps by racists. It's been that way for over over a century.
Is that what we're gonna do in this thread? We're gonna fight?
No, I just thought it sounded a bit rude. But I guess it was well-meant.
Oh man, this is nuts!
If there's one person you don't want to act like a complete fucking moron in front of, it's the person operating a goddamn TV camera.

At least they got kicked out for doing that.

You can't defeat racism by just pretending it doesn't exist, even when someone does something blatantly racist.

Wolf Blitzer works for CNN, so you can see how Republicans might make that connection.
"this is how we feed animals"
That could be a reference to CNN. Anderson Cooper gets me primal...
"this is how we feed animals"
It is though.
Deplorable behavior, doesn't represent the real views of the GOP, blah blah blah. I'm sure these people vocalize beliefs that a huge slice of the Republican electorate secretly harbor, but you can't wave this as proof of anything.
So the incident made you associate black people with chimps?
Bonobos and chimpanzees are two completely different species of ape, you racist prick. You trying to say they all look alike?
They threw Republicans at her?
medals
you deserve all of them
It is though.
Since when do you throw food at animals to feed them?
Since when do you throw food at animals to feed them?
Yeah, they should have held the food out flat on their palms and not made any sudden movements.
