• Considering a Macbook Pro for Uni
    4 replies, posted
Howdo yokels, today I got registered for my course (Creative Multimedia) which I'll be doing for the next two years, before finishing uni altogether by taking up another course for 2 years straight after this one. My class only has 18 imac stations, and for 26 people in a class not everyone will be able to use the computers at once. I was advised to get an intel macbook for the purpose of Final Cut Pro and dual boot it with windows. I thought, considering I would be spending a lot, I would go for a powerful one, I thought a 15" with 7200rpm and "hi res" antiglare screen (£120 more) would be good. The Apple support said the 15" would be better gpu wise when editing vides and I would like to know is that true, a bigger screen would help when editing but I originally thought a small 13 would be dandy. If any of you guys can give me some insight into the APR thing, as well to which Macbook would suit me best, I would greatly appreciate it.
