Is keeping a 4th 1GB DDR2 stick worth it on 32bit?

I have 4 DIMM slots on my mobo, all of them are filled with identical 1GB DDR2 sticks. Windows XP 32 shows only 3.25 GB.
I know exactly why it does that. My question is whether or not it is worth it to keep the 4th stick in there? Will it mess with the dual channel feature? I know that one coupling will obviously be stopped but will it mess with the other ones?
Keep it.
Of course.
Leave it in.
Keep it in there. It shouldn't mess with with the other coupling, but it will slow down the 3rd stick that you have in there.

Wrong, if he keeps it in it will be dual channel. Therefore speeding up his 3rd stick.

Wrong, its dual channel either way.

No.
Both channels have to be symertical or it's single channel.
I don't see what you would gain by taking it out, so I'd just leave it in.

You would gain a 1gb stick of memory to use else ware?
Why not installing a 64 bit OS? If your hardware supports that.

Because 64-bit drivers are a train to hell

Not on Vista, they aren't.

Off the bandwagon.
There is absolutly NOTHING wrong with XP 64Bit
The second version of it contained WoW 64 binarys allowing for better X86 program handling

Not in 2009 they arn't
Proprietary USB drivers and such for things like PSPdisp and TILP is a no-go with 64bit.

Nowhere did I state that XP was poor, I have no experience with X64 XP.
I was merely stating that I had no issues with Vista.
You're a bit touchy.
