Yo FP. So I've got this very wierd problem with my computer. It all started out about five weeks ago when my computer broke down and I had to send it in to get some repairs on it (It was still or waranty, might I add). So now after five weeks I get it back and think it'll work just fine. But of course my life's not that easy. When I start my computer up everything works fine. Fans spinning, keyboard glowing but my monitor is black and I get no picture what so ever. Now I know what you're thinking: "Problem is in your monitor!" well I've tried a different monitor (my TV) with a different cord. Still the same! Other things I've tried is to reset bios and unplug everything that wasn't sent with the computer to the shop when they were supposed to be fixing it. Still not working. Unpluged harddrives, keyborad and eveythign that's not crucial for my computer to function (meaning power cord) and still same. Screen's still black as night. And I know that the screen's gettign power, because when I push the "menu" button it lights up, tells me there's no signal and then turns black again. And to top it all off: The shop wants me to pay 50 euro! For a broken computer. The only difference is that it's another problem with it! So FP, you got any ideas what might help? PS: Sorry for bad english. Not my native language.
Your graphic card is probably unseated or broken. Open the case and see if reseating it works, if not buy a new one.
If you are using the built in video on your motherboard (Intel GMA), make sure that it's enabled in the bios.
