I have fiberoptics, and I have gotten way higher then that before... oh well. Stupid downloads. :argh: EDIT: We have a 80mbps deal, but run 4 computers, our phones and our TV off of it.

Why does northern Europe have shitloads of bandwidth for residential users?
We don't have flooded signals.

Why does that test measure in Mb/s rather than MB/s? This confuses me. Edit:
Not bad, but I'm really wishing I was living in Northern Europe.
No you don't. Stupid lack of good stores and USA-only offers.
Some Australia for comparison.
MB is megabyte, Mb is megabit, they're two different things. Wikipedia it.
...I know...that isn't what I was asking at all (if I didn't know they were two different things, I probably wouldn't have made the distinction between MB and Mb). Most operating systems--in their GUI--measure things in bytes, rather than bits--so it seems to me that using MB rather than Mb is more appropriate.

Last time I checked it was really fucking low. I then later checked and apparently I'm getting 1/6th the speed advertised.
Mines gone up by a megabyte... :smug:
