The company pointed its customers to two alternatives: BrowserStack and Sauce Labs. BrowserLab offered cross-browser testing by producing screenshots of websites from various browsers across Windows and OS X platforms. It was very useful for developers looking to support as many different users as possible.
This sounds incredibly useful and I never heard of it.
Services getting shut down always sucks but it's nice to see that Adobe immediately mentions alternatives.
This sounds incredibly useful and I never heard of it.
Same here. If they actually promoted it then people would have used it and they wouldn't need to shut it down
Anyone fucking hate it when they killed off PixelBender?
Aw, I loved BrowserLab :(. It seems that they're cutting off a few less popular products, Kuler will probably be next.
adobe really needs to rethink their priorities... first canceling flash for android (which sux cas like 3/4ths of the internet still uses flash and not html5) citing that it wasn't popular enough, then they cancel a great tool for testing webpages across multiple platforms citing that nobody used it.... what are they even good for anymore? they cant make a secure product to save their ass, they cancel everything that sounds awsome, and switched to subscription software, why do they still exist.... right because we all know we couldn't live without them :P
First Google Reader, now this. Any other semi-obscure web products I still use going down?
Just as a heads up to anyone who actually used this, there's a neat alternative called Browsershots.
