• Weird frequent Firefox lockups? (REPOST)

-Repost because this was posted in the wrong place before hand!- Now, this is a BRAND NEW computer I just got a little over a week ago because my laptop decided to be retarded and not play any games anymore, was slow and was degrading anyways due to it's broken internal fan. My issue is, frequently, Firefox will hiccup and freeze completely only for a few seconds. It does eventually catch up with my typing but it's VERY annoying for me and I wish it would stop. It happens regardless of how many tabs I have open, or what is in said tabs. Specs: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit AMD Phenom II X4 945 CPU @ 3.00 GHz (Obviously quad core) 8 GB of RAM 1 TB of HD space, not even 20% used I use AVG and AdAware as my Anti-virus/spyware/adware/etc. and I VERY FREQUENTLY run scans and return NO results. Not that when it hiccups, I get no "hour glass". It just farts. Youtube music still plays though.
are you sure you have all your drivers up to date?
Do you have any addons/plugins installed for Firefox? Does it happen in Firefox safe mode?
