Hey music fans, would you mind answering this online survey?

I'm working on a project mainly for school, and I need to get this survey answered, and who's better than the music enthusiasts of Facepunch. I would be very appreciative if you guys helped me out with answering a few questions, and I'll be sure to do a write-up thread explaining what this whole project was about.
[sp]The last few questions are just a joke. I've got some funny responses from people today, but the first few are the ones I care about.[/sp]
Not exactly sure what the last question is supposed to mean.
Done.
very pointless, did it anyway but there really is no correlation between how much music people listen to and favourite colours..

Or maybe there is. Might be an easy way to find out who'll turn out to become serial killers.
The last few questions are actually a joke - haha. It's the first few that I care about.
(For those who remember the Aperture Science employment survey, it asks you to pick a favorite color and then a different one, and then it calls you out for being a liar.)
jhehehe portal joke XD

I didn't get it.
Anyway, answered. My feelings were a bit hurt though by how you just assumed I would lie. I never lie.

My Government teacher came into one of my other classes and said, "[wauterboi], YOU DIDN'T GIVE ME ANY OTHER CHOICE BUT TO LIE ABOUT MY FAVORITE COLOR I HAVE TO GRADE YOUR PAPERS YOU KNOW"
haha
wow wauterboi, you're some devilish human being.
i assumed "favourite colour from these colours" thinking you couldn't speak english very well.
I felt like the choice for pirating music had some sort of negative connotation to it
Well, I pirate music, so that wasn't the intention. Should I reword it?
I don't even bother downloading music anymore, streaming services are way more convenient.
just seemed like some sort of cool-kid parody. but i getcha
For the longest time last year, I listened to Pandora throughout the day and came home to listen to Spotify on my computer. Sadly, my family actually uses the data now so streaming music is off limits, so I listen to whatever music is on my phone throughout the day and come home to listen to Spotify. Although, it could be argued that I listen to a lot more of the stuff I have cached from Soundcloud as well.
Survey complete.
chose red and black as competing fav colours, can anyone tell that i'm in to metal
You should have made the "where do you get your music from" question be multiple choices, if it was ever possible.
done

I bet you like the Nazi Germany flag.
Where you get your music from might have been better as a ranking question (put them in order of frequency).
Im surprised there wasnt a question about what genre's people liked.
If you're to make a survey again, I'd recommend writing it more like this:
Music Services and You
How often do you listen to music?
Less than an hour a day
1-2 hours
2-3 hours
3-4 hours
4 or more hours
What is your primary source of music? Select all that apply.
(Information collected is for statistical use only.)
Physical store
Online store
Online music streaming service
Piracy websites
Radio
What is your age?
Less than 18
18-29
30-50
Older than 50
It just seems a bit more straightforward that way.
I bet you like the Nazi Germany flag.
i don't like that someone rated late on this as if they knew that i've got a bit of a soft spot for nazi regalia

That's like combining the two most nerdy things into one. Because lets be honest, Nazis are pretty big nerds.
Alright, so I nailed my Senior Project, Presentation, and Paper. Perfect score on the paper, and from what I'm understanding I did very well on my project and presentation.
I didn't get as many survey-takers as I would have hoped, though, but that really wasn't the core of my project or very important, in my opinion.
I'm debating whether it would be better to open a debate thread in Mass Debate or just write about what I learned in an entirely new thread here in the music forum. It's very argumentative, and I'm basically saying the traditional music business model will fail because of piracy and the new services like Spotify that take advantage of the situation.
What should I do?

you could tumble-dry yourself at 200 degrees perhaps.
You didn't exactly get unbiased results from here, though.
You shouldn't say that the traditional music business model will fail just because some guys on one online forum prefer piracy and/or Spotify.

whoops i didnt know you got it done already :v:

It's not because of that. Basically, I'm arguing that piracy is rampant and arguably uncontrollable. While the RIAA and a lot of major labels are stuck on fighting piracy, businesses like Spotify are realizing that the only true way to combat piracy is to compete with it - no one's going to buy music if they don't have to. Spotify, Pandora, Grooveshark, and a plethora of other music services are trying to bring the incentive back for customers by allowing people to listen for free and living off of ad revenue. YouTube is also becoming an important asset in many ways, because it's also the go-to for many people when it comes to listening to music. It's true that some of these services are more successful than others and most of these companies behind the scenes run into hefty listening fees, but ultimately what the music industry is facing is a shift away from the old business model - at least from what I've researched.
Where should I start the thread about this? I'd love to have a friendly discussion about this without going off-topic in this thread. :V

I'm not understanding the hostility, but alright.
