Hello Facepunch! I have been away too long(since before the switch to the new look of the website). I have been doing lots of photo editing and music making, and I have been replacing my now old powerbook with a newer build(going with windows, not mac) and getting more bang for my buck. I compiled a list of parts that I needed, and pared it down to a 700 dollar amount. I went to buy the parts from a local computer store(microcenter) and discovered that they only offered a thirty day warranty on motherboards, hdds, and anything else EXCEPT for processors that they offer NO WARRANTY on. So, needless to say I got cold feet and walked out that day to do some more research. I was wondering what you guys have gotten by way of warranties on different computer components over the years and if I should be at all worried about the seeming lack of warranties. I don't want this to become a "decide for me" thread but, is there anywhere that offers amazing warranties? Thanks in advance guys.
The product manufacturers themselves offer warranties too you know. Many of them are much better than what stores will offer you.
Interesting, but, I have heard a few of my friends rant about newegg's amazing warranties, what exactly are entailed within those? Are they similar to the ones given by the place that I went to get parts?

Look on their website. Because I have no clue. And each type of device has a slightly different warranty.
