I had my computer running Dota 2 while I left the room, and when I came back in it just turned off. It didn't go through the shutdown process at all, just turns off as if someone yanked the cord. It has happened once more after that, so it wasn't just a coincidence. I haven't changed any hardware recently that might have been causing this. It has only done it while i have had a game running so far, but that is most of the time my computer is on.
I've never had a problem like this until today. Its starting to get annoying, and I don't know whats wrong with it.
Would this be a problem with the powersupply, or could it be from something overheating?
It has kept happening. From what I have seen now, it turns off when I'm starting a game. Right when I get to the point in Dota 2 where it starts rendering the actual game, it turned off. Sometimes I get further in, sometimes not.
It used to do it with Vindictus, but after I turned down the graphical settings, it doesn't do it anymore.
Also, I have to turn on and off the switch on the powersupply in order to turn the computer back on.
Little more info:
500W Antec Powersupply
9800 GTX+ EVGA
Both are the 2 oldest components in my PC, the rest has been replaced pretty recently.
If its a problem with the graphics card, would it just power off so suddenly?
I doubt its the graphics card, this sounds like overheating or a broken powersupply, try running HWMonitor and post a screenshot here so we can see the temperatures, post another screenshot of HWMonitor while the game has ran for a while to see how got it gets.
Can't exactly run the game for a while as the computer turns off when it starts.

Powersupply doesn't show up on HWMonitor or other similar programs.
Everything runs around 30-40 degrees idle.
Try running Furmark, it monitors the temperature while its stressing your card.
Computer instantly shuts off the second the Furmark test starts.
Do any other games work?
Edit: It's most likely the PSU on it's way out. Do you have any PSU to substitute in to check?
Post temps with HWMonitor.
Also update drivers if you havent.
I don't have another PSU that I can substitute in right now.
I can't post the temps of the system while its in a game as it just turns off when it starts. All the temperatures are fine when its idle.
I've updated the drivers, and that hasn't done anything.
I tried Prime95 CPU Stress test to see if that drawing power would cause it to shut off, and it did not.
2 more things:
-When the computer is left on for a while, I can sometimes play games like normal
-Turning down the video settings in a game seems to help with the problem, but not always
Would this mean its the graphics card or could it still be the PSU?

Those are the idle temps.
Got a PSU from a friend to test with, and it works great with that one. So its case closed now.

That was kinda obvious, you reached -3.97v on a line that is supposed to be -12, that was WAY to low.

It wouldn't run if it was that way. Either way, I wouldn't trust HWmonitor with voltage monitoring.

What if the powersupply gave that voltage for half a second orso, shouldn't the capacitors be able to hold that up?
