• Internet cuts out randomly

Not completely. Like, it still connects, but it's so limited that it can't connect to the internet. It goes on spurts for around an hour where I can only connect every few minutes. Solution center says it might be something with my DNS, in which case apparently it'd be an issue with my ISP. Other computers and my Xbox work fine. It still connects enough that I can stay connected to Steam (though I can't log in/connect if I was offline when it's cut out) and play online. Google's been no use for my exact problem. Screeny of my network usage, demonstrating it: When it cuts out, my network utilization gets to only .02 or .03%
you on wireless?
you on wireless?
No.
how many computers/consoles are using your internet regularily what is your isp
how many computers/consoles are using your internet regularily what is your isp
I only use the one modem, usually. I'll unplug it and plug it in another room for my Xbox. Before that and just this last week I used a router, didn't use wireless. Needless to say nothing else was affected besides the laptop. So up until last weekend, one console, two computers. Regularly now, one computer or one console. Same in the future. Most that will ever be on is one console and one computer at one time. ISP is Charter Communications.
sounds like an issue with your computer, specifically the motherboard.
I figured it was the computer. Just have no clue what the issue is, or the cause. Motherboard, eh?
well your cord plugs into a port that's connected to your motherboard... it doesnt sound like a wiring issue because you said you got internet fine on other PCs and Consoles. it's your mobo... it's possible something short circuited. just outta curiosity, what's your power supply?

Not sure how I'd be able to find out, either. You mean the PSU, right?
Unsure. Not sure how I'd be able to find out, either. You mean the PSU, right?
there's usually a sticker on the psu that says what the wattage is how long have you had it?

And I don't exactly have the tools or time to open up my laptop right now. I know it's probably a simple thing to most everyone on here, but I don't know shit about computers and I've only got like 10 minutes, so I'd rather not get into it at this exact moment.
fair enough sounds like failed circuitry and/or power distribution take your Ethernet cord out and look inside the port there could be dust or something
Blew out any dust that there might have been. And thanks, been real helpful. My uncle knows alot about computers, I'll see if he can take a look, now that I might know more about the issue.
I had this issue with my network, I just upgraded PSU's and problem solved. Mabye its not gettin enough lightning?
