While I was trying to build a deck in YGOPRO, which I couldn't save for some kind of reason, I ran across a XYZ monster called One-Eyed Skill Gainer. I had to look it up and found out that it's super rare. So I went looking on eBay and discovered that most of them cost around a single dollar. Makes me wonder how many copies Konami have produced.
Found some old, rock hard dog shit once.
I ordered a Wheel of Time book on Amazon recently. I had to buy from a shady third-party seller because I'm trying to get the whole series in hardcover. Well, it was labeled "new" by the seller, and I was a little pissed off to find that it did not, in fact, arrive in new condition. You can see that the top and bottom of the spine are a little crumpled. Clearly some wear from a previous owner. I found a typewriter in a hoarder's house that types cursive. It was one of the few interesting things that I was able to keep. I also found mail that was dated in the mid-1800s. Take note that to find this stuff I had to dig under a pile of rubbish with a stench that would make a fly's face contort in disgust.
I bought some Pokemon EX Crystal Guardians booster(?) card pack many years ago and got Psychic-type Grovyle, Delta-species. After reading this thread I decided to google it, and from Pokellector found prices for a nice amount of websites. http://www.pokellector.com/card/Grovyle--EX-Crystal-Guardians-CG-19 Amazon? 1,27 dollars. Professor Oak (yeah, there's a website called that. Go figure)? 1 dollar. Stop2Shop? 1.95 dollars. Troll & Toad? 3.99 dollars. Not half bad, I suppose.
As a video game collector: Sealed collectors edition of Oblivion, rated T, not M, really hard to find sealed collectors edition but even harder to find it as a first print and rated T for xbox360. (I've only ever seen 2 on ebay) Both my boxed Nintendo64's, American and Japanese. Got them both at pretty good prices: A boxed cleaning kit for a super Nintendo, which is brand new, not sealed, but whoever o0wned it before literally never used it, it's in great condition and all the inserts are there brand new: As a clothing collector: A supreme og striped polo from 2007 I believe, not a really expensive piece but definitely harder to find: And a Japanese earthquake relief box logo tee, released in March 2011 after the Earthquake, all the proceeds went to the Japanese Red Cross association:
You have taste in clothing like chris chan
I collect 1/64 scale model/diecast cars (think Hot Wheels,Matchbox,Johnny Lightning,Greenlight etc) and when I found a Treasure Hunt Hot Wheels I was quite happy :D Quick explanation on treasure hunts: Hot Wheels cars come in ''cases'' for stores. There's only 1 treasure hunt per 1 or 2 cases. You can recognize them by a small circular flame logo. This is the one I got (not my photo): [t]http://www.diecastphotography.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/hot-wheels-subaru-wrx-sti-treasure-hunt-front-1.jpg[/t] I don't like how it looks like, but still. Treasure hunt :D I also got loads of ~1970 Matchbox cars, some of which are around $100 when boxed and mint (mine aren't,but still.)
[t]http://i.imgur.com/cwvFGbP.jpg[/t] See all of those Star-Lord comics on top? They're worth around 500 total, I got them for less than 150. The framed one alone is worth 200-350. Best purchase I ever made.
I got one of these. (except in north America it's called a Sega CD-X) It's a Sega Genesis and CD rolled into a single, tiny unit. It's smaller than the original CD attachment to the Genesis alone. They intended this thing to double as a portable CD player. A lady gave it to me for free at a yard sale when I bought a DreamCast from them. I later learned they sold very few units in the US, and are relatively rare. They're worth over $130 a pop on eBay.
I also collect toys. I found this hotness cheap as hell at a thrift store: The guy goes for like 50 on ebay, too bad I fucking love Lobster Johnson.
I once found an amulet, everyone kept telling me to burn it, so I did
This Mk. 1 Star helmet and Mk. V gas mask, they both belonged to my great-great grandfather who was an air raid warden during the second world war. So they carry family history and are very unique to me. [t]http://i.imgur.com/uTvRQU1.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/3Ye6863.jpg[/t] Some old gaming stuff which I found in my grandparents attic, including an Atari Jaguar, a Sega Saturn steering wheel, and some Atari pong paddle controllers. [t]http://i.imgur.com/U2pEsFU.jpg[/t] Some very rare vinyl, only 500 were made of the Jake Bugg single in the top left (which I got for free), only 1000 were made of the Reignwolf single in the top right, and only 1000 of the bottom Turin Brakes coloured 12" were made, I got it signed by the entire band as well. [t]http://i.imgur.com/CjvoC5V.jpg[/t] And this will be my last one or you'll be reading this post forever, a near complete AR5 Pilot gas mask from the late 70's. I just need a battery for the blower to finish it, but they're rare as fuck, I know someone who might be able to get me one though. A full kit can fetch up to £200 or more on ebay depending on the condition. I also have the old spec blower unit which used a rope carrying handle.
