So I've been trying a sort of daily art thing, where I try to draw a piece of art each day. This is the result so far (14 pieces total):

Awesome stuff.
I like your style and it really fits with the quotes.
However, I think that quality wise the children's story isn't on the same level with the others.
I guess you're a tom waits fan. He is a great musician. Night on Earth wouldn't be same without his soundtrack.
What's the source of the quote in the first pic?

Thanks :D
The first quote is from John Green.
Interesting how to go from that grungy, scratchy dark feel, then I see a cartoon like soda advertisement in bright colors.
Is there a reason to this? :)
The style is really awesome.
Nice work.
Loving your style. A bit weird with the two happy cartoon coloured "advertisements".
Your black and white sketches are striking, and very thought provoking! Have you seen the animated film Persepolis? It's something that came to mind viewing these.

I wanted to change the style, as I found it quickly became too repetitive. This is also the reason I made the Children's Story, to try a more "childish" style, though it didn't turn out as good as I'd hoped. Also I wanted to practice drawing in vector and design, so that's the main reason for those "advertisements".

Thank you, and yes I've both seen the film and read the comics, and while I enjoyed them very much, I wouldn't say they've been a direct inspiration, perhaps subconsciously, I dunno :)
The style of your 4th sketchy picture also reminds me of Hayao Miyazaki :D

The one with the latin proverb or the one of Tom Waits?
