Where can I get one? I'm getting an iPhone 2G for really cheap, and I want to protect it well, and the case most people say to use is impossible to find since it's such an old phone.
That about sums it up... I don't think you really want that phone either, no apps will run on it.
Music and web browser is all I really care about
it's certainly going to be a lot better than the phone I have right now (Samsung Intensity)
I'm not sure about that. Sure, it's a smartphone, but Safari will be piss slow and I guess the music player would work well enough
That phone has a 412mHz CPU and 128MB of RAM, web browsing will be slow as shit.
Music will work fine though, doesn't take much to play an mp3
You can probably go online and find at least a 3GS for under $100, or last-gen used android phones, or something WP7.
As far as android goes i'd recommend an Epic 4G for sprint or some variation of the original Galaxy S, the built in DACs are good for music
So what's a good used Android phone for around $100? AT&T only, please

What's so bad about AT&T? I have to use a GoPhone sim because I'm too poor to afford an $80 a month plan
If you're still going for the iPhone route, you can just get a leather sleeve like this since it's for the most part, universal, and in my opinion the best type of case as you get to hold the device in your hand caseless when you're actually using it, but will be protected while it's in your pocket or set down somewhere. The only disadvantage really is you'll of course want to avoid dropping it, which is something you'd still try to avoid doing even with a case.

Like others said, you might want to consider getting an Android, though the decision is up to you.
What's your budget? Cheap Android phones are arguably worse than a cheap iPhone in terms of performance.
If you know where to look though you can get shit cheap, I got a 32GB iPhone 4 with a clean ESN for $290 off eBay, all I had to do was replace the screen.
Maybe like $100? I don't have that much money
You live in the US? I can find you something decent with that budget on eBay.
Yeah, US and AT&T is the network I'm going to have to use

Doesn't the lumia 900 go for 100 USD on ATnT currently?

I can't do anything involving a contract
I'd look around your local craigslist for phones and shit, post stuff that catches your interest so we can help you find something decent.
How's the original Galaxy S?
Just look at specs and find the most powerful for the cheapest.

just a suggestion, get Straight Talk. I am on straight talk now and I have unlimited data, text, calls, etc for 45 dollars.
