So, I am in the process of building my 6th build and have just come across something very confusing to me. I am plugging in the reset switch, power led, etc.. I have never built with an case that has an abundance of LEDS, so this one is a first. I was plugging in the power led cord and it is supposed to take up three prongs on the motherboard but in the mobo manual it says it is only supposed to take up two. I am just assuming that I should leave the third prong of the power led dangling rather than having it overlap where the power switch plugs in. Any advise or insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
The LED should only have one cord. I can't think of a reason that it would have three. Are you sure that the third pin isn't for a reset switch or something?

What case?
Might be a Bi-color LED for motherboards that do that sleep light thing?
If so, yes can leave a bit hanging over the edge.
Positive. It is honestly the strangest thing ever. It takes up three but only uses two of the prongs. it skips the middle one.
I always get mixed up there too. check your mobo manual.
Couldn't one pin go to HDD indicator light and another go to the power indicator if it's a bi-color?

...no? I mean, potentially it could but this is molded plastic and they are not in the same area.
