A prequel webcomic by DarkHorse comics has also been released.[/release] [release]Trailer 1: [/release] [release]Official Site: http://www.tnt.tv/series/fallingskies/[/release] Anyway I might be late but I just found out about this, and I must say it looks pretty good, and I'll give it a shot. I just hope it isn't like V, which started out great and then turned into utter crap. The series is being developed by Steven Spielberg and Robert Rodat (who wrote the script from Saving Private Ryan). Also, the special effects are the work of Zoic Studios, best known for their work in Firefly, the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Fringe.
Looks pretty stupid.
i am very interested....will you remind me of this show in a few months? (message me)
For some reason this reminds me of the humans vs machines war from the first terminator
I have a feeling this will turn out veeery cheesy and predictable.
Hopefully it doesn't go the way of Heroes, V and Fringe. By that I mean they all ended up jumping the shark.
Yeah well I'm not really getting my hopes up, I'll have to watch it first. Here's the webcomic by the way: http://www.tnt.tv/series/fallingskies/webcomic/?oid=74248
To me, the first episode has had about the same quality as The Walking Dead.. maybe a bit better in some areas.
why are the characters in this show so stupid oh yeah lets go save my son from those aliens with super mech suits and flying airships we can TOTALLY do it also it felt like the pilot was just one big commercial for Rip Sticks
To me, the first episode has had about the same quality as The Walking Dead.. maybe a bit better in some areas.
A lot of it kinda reminded me of The Walking Dead. Time will show whether it's anywhere near as good, though. They've got me interested enough for another couple episodes, so we'll see.
I liked it enough to give it a chance, seems to have potential.
I thought it was alright, Not amazing, but not bad. It had good and bad points. I think im going to give it a shot, but if it gets worse, i doubt ill keep up with it.
bad cgi bad acting
bad characters seriously how much more generic could they get they even had the chick who is really into religion despite everything that happened, which is her only noticeable character trait
only good character was the leader of the bad dudes
Watching this right now, I'm liking it. I feel it needs a few more episodes to mature, but still. It's quite good.

To be honest, the CGI in the show isn't as good as in BSG or even Firefly, it just seems really sub-par considering it's from Zoic Studios, their stuff is usually awesome.
i am very interested....will you remind me of this show in a few months? (message me)
Lol I'm very interested but I can't be bothered to keep tabs on it myself
it looks kind of dumb
I love how when the bitchy kid starts riding around on his RIPSTIK BRAND RIPSTIK everyone stops and watches him happily and all the kids are jelly and want to play with it. GET A RIPSTIK TODAY, YOU'LL BE THE COOLEST KID ON THE BLOCK EVEN WHEN 90% OF THE WORLD'S POPULATION IS DEAD
I found the first episode enjoyable. cant wait until next sunday for the next episode. Just watched this an hour ago. You just have to get past the first 10 mins of it to really get into the plot. I think it has potential, but if you are a person that is looking for next-gen super CGI scenes, this isn't for you.
Loved how they found the cheapest possible way ever to introduce the back-story.
I really hope they do further explain it in later episodes, such as a flashback or something. I have high hopes for this show
Just watched the first episode, it was... average, to say the least, felt like it was missing something. It didn't try to do anything mindblowing, and that's something a series like this really needs.
Tbh, I really want to know what do they do with the kids, it might open some cool plotlines in the future.
Tbh, I really want to know what do they do with the kids, it might open some cool plotlines in the future.
Presumably, the key to the resistance lies with what's happening to the kids. At least, that's the feeling I get from this.
I wanted to see the modern military try to take the aliens head on.
I'm just wondering why the aliens picked KIDS if they needed slave labor. Idiots! If they enslaved adults they'd get more done, and get it done faster. Not only that but adults will fight to try and save their kids, and adults are capable of doing more damage. Kids would be lucky to just survive, forget about organizing and fighting back. I hope the show explains this.
