Amazon Prime is such an amazing service, especially for the price.
I wonder if this is HBO testing the waters before just expanding to other services.
YES!!!
but I like HBO GO
instead of giving americans a second option how about giving the rest of the world a first
instead of giving americans a second option how about giving the rest of the world a first
Takes a lot longer to expand to "the world" compared to 1 country.
Takes a lot longer to expand to "the world" compared to 1 country.
Isn´t "the world" currently most of West EU countries+ NA+some parts of the world?
ahem YESS§SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
instead of giving americans a second option how about giving the rest of the world a first
umm... there's a 'rest of the world'???

No Game of thrones.
I hate amazon prime's service. It uses silverlight, and the DRM doesn't allow playback of HD videos if your Monitor and GPU aren't compatible with HDCP. [editline]23rd April 2014[/editline] Not to mention that silverlight isn't even officially available for linux, and development for silverlight has been discontinued.
THREE YEAR delay after airing? That is insane.
Title made it seem like a good thing for people without HBO subscriptions. Instead it's basically the stuff that's already out on DVD...

On the other hand, I don't like Amazon's player on the PS4/PC, because if you want to go to the next episode takes like 3 extra clicks just to watch, where as Netflix spoiled me, Netflix would automatically countdown to the next episode and skip the intro too. I like Amazon prime's instant streaming, it's just that when I'm working on things I like to be able to work without stopping and picking up the controller across the room, if it's charging, PS4 controllers don't last too long, just to switch an episode. Also, Band of Brothers, can't wait.
highly recommend watching The Sopranos and The Wire if you have not watched them before.
Amazon Prime is such an amazing service, especially for the price.
Last week Amazon showed a little popup telling me that I could get Prime for free for a month. I clicked and it said I could stream tons of free stuff and get free next day delivery. I took the free month and tried streaming some movie. It said that movie wasn't available in my country. I tried another movie, not available either. I decided to try Breaking Bad instead. NOT AVAILABLE IN MY COUNTRY. I tried 3 other shows. Not available either. I decided it might still be worth the price for the free next day delivery and ordered a Pacific Rim on BluRay with next day delivery. During checkout it suddenly wanted a few € for delivery with the note that free next day delivery wasn't possible for the chosen delivery address, MY HOME ADDRESS. At this point I was really confused and sure there must have been an error, why would anyone even pay for Prime if all you get are free ebooks (I didn't try them, maybe they are locked too). Turns out this is actually what Amazon Prime is like. LITERALLY NOTHING AT ALL WORKS! Keep in mind that this was Amazon Austria (www.amazon.at) and I live in Austria and the actively tried to sell me this shit.
Amazon Prime is such an amazing service, especially for the price.
Amazing if you live in the States maybe.
I live in the states and close enough to a distribution center where if I order in the morning it'll be there the next day. I utilize all the subscribe and save stuff and I've made huge savings at this point. Not even counting the streaming stuff (which isn't that great but its still better than cable) the membership paid for itself in the first three months.
I tried the month free and to watch loads of the shows (which are advertised to draw you in) you have to be in the US or pay by the episode. There was only like one show out of about 15 that i tried which you could actually watch, the rest were £1.50 per episode.
