• What speed is your GPU fan running at?

I'm just kind of wondering, because I run my fan at 34% (CCC, ATI card.), and it runs at about 55-65 degrees (varies a lot), and only 75-80 on load. Is my fan running to slow or is it my GPU? It has also been dusted out recently with compressed air. So post your speed and temps, so I know if it's something I'm doing wrong.
Those temps are fine. My GTX260 idles at 40%, 30C temps. The fan doesn't increase in speed until 80C, so I manually bump it up to 70% while gaming. These new cards can handle very high temperatures, but what will kill them is the expansion and contraction associated with them heating up and cooling down all of the time. The ideal solution is to keep them cool all the time, but what you want to do is minimize the fluctuation in temperature. Of course, this doesn't mean make them idle hotter. If you can put up with a loud fan, turn it up before gaming and the card will most likely last longer.
My 4870 1GB is running at 1080RPM @ 78c (84 load)
35% and sitting at like 56. It automatically speeds up as the temps increase though, your temps are normal.
5850 70% manual fan control, won't hit 60°. Not that 60° would matter much. Idles at 30-36. I have the powercolour pcs+ edition of the card, they changed out the fan so even my CPU cooler is louder than this is at 90%.
leave idle at 35. flip it into rock and roll mode (55/60 percent) when gaming. 5970.
CFX Sapphire HD 5850s Idle at 23% at about 40C Load at 27% at about 65C Could easily push the fan speed more, but there seems to be very little point.
when i neglect the GPU fan it usually heats the room up like crazy
41% fan speed and my temps are 32 degrees.
I put it on 75% in gaming to make negative pressure in my case, because my mobo overheats :saddowns: I mean, who in the right mind doesnt put heatsinks on the power distributers!? [editline]07:03PM[/editline] Godamn prebuilts
9800GTX+ fan speed is 35% and idles at 48c idle, not sure about load.
GTX 295 fan speed is 45% (2430 RPM) @ 576 MHz; 75 C for both GPUs
45% then dynamically increased based on temps.
auto :smug: Seems to be at 35% when I'm idle, at around 43c-46c Too lazy test load, but it gets to ~85c with furmark
1200 RPM from 120mm Sycthe fan, Accelero S1 rev2 cooler on my HD4850, idles at 48C.
Default, idles at 64c.
100% because it isn't loud and I idle at 45c.
2396 RPM, 71%, idles at 40c. Still very quiet.
36% 40c Curves like this
65% on my 4850 and I'm still idling at 48c. :saddowns: It's really hot in my room and I haven't dusted out my case in a while...

Mine runs at 46% idle, and 100% when in Windows 7, even with Aero odd... :raise:
100% at all times, runs around 28 C
90% 50c need to clean the dust :/
80% @50c idel, maximum load at 95c [editline]06:25AM[/editline] Brand new PNY GTX 470, overclocked. Thinking about watercooling it
HD5850 21 % and around 35-40C Highest was 60-70 C.
HD5850 using custom fan speed curve, Idles at 47 with fan speed of 34, never goes higher then 55 degrees on load.
Is there anything like speedfan for Linux? I'd love to run my fan at 100% while my CPU and GPU are idle and scaled down.
Gainward GTX275 Default 45%, 40c on idle, 85c on load.
Is there anything like speedfan for Linux? I'd love to run my fan at 100% while my CPU and GPU are idle and scaled down.
if you're on an older Nvidia card, there is nvclock. And iirc CCC does it if you're on an ATI card.
