Hey. I need a suggestion for a laptop that would be able to handle things like photoshop and 3DS Max without slowing down too badly. It'd be nice (if possible) if it was able to handle games as well (I'm not asking for Crysis at 50 fps, just to let me run most games at medium to low settings) EDIT: I found this one on Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834157532 Looks like it could be a good buy, but I feel like there may be something that would be a lot better if I just spent a hundred more dollars. EDIT: Here's another, the reviews say that it's got some good capabilities under the hood, but is it worth the 700 bucks? So far from what I have seen there is no extended battery for this model yet. You average about 2 hours on energy saver. Another thing I am disappointed about is there are only 2 usb ports on the laptop. The description states 3, but there are only 2
If that's important to you, keep looking.
You are fighting for an equal between two realms. (GL and Gaming)
If you go for a mid range gaming laptop it shold be fine for gl too, make sure it has like 6gb ram for gl and a i5 / i7 for nice render speed's, gaming is mostly affected by graphics. I have a alienware laptop with i7(quad) 2.7ghz, 6gb ram and a ati gpu and i can play crysis on medium with about 30fps and render well in C4D [editline]26th April 2011[/editline] http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834157521 Would do nice :)
