i have been reading about this thing where you would only eat water for 3 days to let your body take out all of the toxins it may have and then eating fruits and vegetables , little portions and frequently, now, my question. i saw a guy that says he feels great as fuck doing "periodic fasting" and i didnt found any info about how to do this...like ¿once a week? how the hell, i dont know. if anyone is living like this, or knows how this thing works, please tell me, i wont go on a thing like this untill i know everything. thanks, sorry for the lame ass english, im learning, im learning...
This sounds like a very bad idea. While I have no knowledge in body detoxification, my basic understanding of nutrition tells me that this sounds like yet another myth featured in magazines in order to encourage "fab diets", which are done simply for the sake of money, not actual health benefit. My only guess is the initial effect you'd feel if you suddenly deprived your body of food and gave it a boost. I guess my comparison would be like not playing games for a week or jacking off and then suddenly being able to do so. The human body isn't meant to run on simply just water(while maintaining muscle mass and body fat, at least).
Try intermittent fasting. Look it up to get more information on it to see if its something you want to try but its basically not eating for 16 hours and then designating an 8 hour window to getting all of your calories in. Its not really a diet because you get the same amount of calories as usual, but a lot of people rave about how great it is.
Its a diet some just like it for the fad, some like eating big meals... It can be a diet just as any other and it is in fact one by definition. Im not familiar with any studies regarding detoxification but what i know is that IF wont achieve that.... I find detoxification complete bullshit for a lot of reason icba to push out right now
