Boris Johnson, for Leave, and his successor as London Mayor Sadiq Khan, for Remain, are among six panellists taking part in the two-hour BBC debate at Wembley Arena on Tuesday evening. Each side will make opening and closing statements then take questions from members of the 6,000-strong audience. The debate is at 20:00 BST on BBC One.
This will be the biggest TV debate in British history in terms of audience numbers I think. Also a pretty unique opportunity to see a Conservative debate against a Conservative, a Labour MP debate against the leader of the TUC, and the last London Mayor debate the current London Mayor.
How about just settle it with a football match?
Don't let them talk scaremongering / smearing bullshit, make them stick to the facts, also i hope to god Dimbleby stays impartial. It's too important for bullshit from anyone. Not gonna happen though.
How about just settle it with a football match?
Boris would win then
Prepare for "I don't feel like I have impartial information and am struggling to carve through the bias to access the real information" to get the reply: Leave: "We will be swimming in immigrants and the queen will be killed" Remain: "World war three will happen and your house will become less valuable than a log"
It won't help anyone looking for impartial, factual information.
It won't help anyone looking for impartial, factual information.
This whole referendum none of the debates have been factual. From both sides.
This government practically destroyed the leave campaign by taking a side, all you've got now are idiots believing the leaflets plastered all over the pubs and public road signs preaching "WE'RE GONNA GET FLOODED WITH IMMIGRANTS AND THE NHS WILL COLLAPSE AND BLABLABLABLA"
Welp, there goes my night! They missed out not having Farage
Welp, there goes my night! They missed out not having Farage
No.
Welp, there goes my night! They missed out not having Farage
the perfect debate would have peter hitchens, nigel farage, russell brand, and owen jones somewhere on it.
Welp, there goes my night! They missed out not having Farage
They fear the Farage.
Worth a watch if you want to see the comedy we have to put up with.

The questioners are all weirdos who want their 30s of fame by being rude to a politician on whatever side and making some inane comment about how 'they're all the same' to get attention on twitter
Can you see this debate online via streaming from somewhere? I'd be interested in it
Can you see this debate online via streaming from somewhere? I'd be interested in it
You can watch it on iPlayer, but only once it's been on TV I believe. Actually I lie you can watch it live on iPlayer. Need a TV license though (if you care)
No.
Definitely. Objectively for ratings. Also, if anybody is expecting any legitimate facts from this debate they're sorely mistaken, so why not? Also personally because I agree with him. [editline]21st June 2016[/editline] Link for anybody, but make sure you have a TV license :v: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/live/bbcone
Here we go.
the perfect debate would have peter hitchens, nigel farage, russell brand, and owen jones somewhere on it.
Surprised Bob Geldof won't be attending with a load of refugees, seeing how it's at Wembley too :v: [editline]21st June 2016[/editline] It's begun!
Whats wrong with wetherspoons like [editline]21st June 2016[/editline] Jesus 20 minutes and it's gone to name calling on both sides British politics is fucked
Honestly, what's the point of the debate after what happened last week? Just compare the like growth rate for In and Leave on Facebook, the outcome's already decided. Even if Remain is obliterated in the debate to an extent worthy of a GBoWR entry, it means fuck all. This campaign (and last couple of years in general) has left me sick to my stomach: project propaganda, project fear, project murder. Just had my boss send round a circular demonising Leave supporters; I often envy the "bluepilled" crowd, there's no joy in life for those of us with a "redpill" inclination. Enjoy your miserable future; the world in which Britain chose to remain. Conservation of consciousness is a theory begging to be tested.
Leave/Boris is absolutely smashing it. Project Fear just can't hold back on the fearmongering Those boos for remain when she mentioned Wetherspoon's like it's a bad thing :v:

You're aware the vote hasn't happened yet?

I feel your misery and understand what you mean, but keep your head up until June 23!
Based Boris
"What about when your children get sick?!" THEY'RE GONNA EAT YA' BABIES!
Enjoy your miserable future; the world in which Britain chose to remain. Conservation of consciousness is a theory begging to be tested.
i'll be quite happy with the result because my life is pretty much going to be directly tied to the whole free movement thing the EU has going on. It makes things so much easier for me.
Project Fear just can't hold back on the fearmongering
Ahh good to hear Leave are up to their old tricks then.
Ahh good to hear Leave are up to their old tricks then.
I'm actually feeling pretty sound and confident in my opinions after this debate so far. Got any more zingers for me? If anybody is showing their true colours tonight it's Remain. It's painstakingly obvious from the moment Sadiq retorted to Boris with cheap insults haha.
