Quick Note! This is not a F.A.Q In fact you could call it the opposite. Also i am sorry if this is the wrong section but this seemed to be the best for art related things. I am looking for a website,web-page that contains information about the different style of tablets and the pro's and con's of each ones. To be specific here are some of the main questions I'm looking to be answered. What all can they be used for? How do i tell what ones do what? *For Example* I was looking at the WACOM website and viewing different ones. One thing i noticed is there was this one that was used mainly for writing, Was this just because thats all they showed or are there specific ones used for writing. What ones would be for me? *Note if there are no sites that could do this would anyone be able to recommend some? P.S Already been to Wiki :)
If you're drawing anime. Buy a Bamboo Fun.
Well might do anime someday but currently I'm drawing with pencil and paper then scanning it. I guess I'm just looking for one that might be able to replace that.
A Bamboo tablet will still do.
This. Just got mine, perfect.
Rule of the thumb is to always go with a Wacom. Also, the ones for writing are usually those really small ones that are for making signatures. Most of the A6 and up sized tablets are for drawing.
Why always go with a Wacom? What does Wacom tablets have that, say, Trust tablets don't?
Why always go with a Wacom? What does Wacom tablets have that, say, Trust tablets don't?
A recognized name.
Why always go with a Wacom? What does Wacom tablets have that, say, Trust tablets don't?
Because Wacom has quality products. Mine was incredibly easy to install the drivers for, and I had it up and running in no time. It also has a nice app for changing preferences.
Why always go with a Wacom? What does Wacom tablets have that, say, Trust tablets don't?
Wacom is the the industry standard. 9 out of 10 times it is a Wacom tablet. They simply work. These guys have been doing it for a long time, they have the formula down.
Why always go with a Wacom? What does Wacom tablets have that, say, Trust tablets don't?
They work properly.
Definitely looking at Wacom Bamboo so thanks for the help on the part. Still wondering if there is a reference site i might be able to look through.
It only takes a couple of hours to get used to. I'm comparing this to writing on paper by the way.

I've got a Wacom Bamboo A6, it's probably one of the best purchases I have ever done. Will, without a doubt, go with Wacom next time as well.
Why always go with a Wacom? What does Wacom tablets have that, say, Trust tablets don't?
A very good reputation.
A very good reputation.
Incredible support, and a very durable product.
Why was I rated dumb for comparing the bamboo to paper? It DOES take time to get used to, whereas paper, you can just KNOW.
Why was I rated dumb for comparing the bamboo to paper? It DOES take time to get used to, whereas paper, you can just KNOW.
No, it doesn't. When I got my Bamboo, I got used to it in a couple of minutes, this including getting to know all the buttons.
No, it doesn't. When I got my Bamboo, I got used to it in a couple of minutes, this including getting to know all the buttons.
Going from nothing to a bamboo?
I have the regular Bamboo. The small one. For $62 I was satisfied.
Why was I rated dumb for comparing the bamboo to paper? It DOES take time to get used to, whereas paper, you can just KNOW.
I draw more easily with my Wacom than on paper. There is no irl undo. >:(
I draw more easily with my Wacom than on paper. There is no irl undo. >:(
That's exactly my point. Eraser = Ctrl + Z. Not Alt + Ctrl + Z
I draw more easily with my Wacom than on paper. There is no irl undo. >:(
This is why we buy graphics tablets. :)
Never buy a graphics tablet that isn't a Wacom. I bought a trust, and it couldn't even draw straight lines, it would always wobble. I have now ordered a normal Wacom bamboo, and eventhough it isn't very big, it can still be used for drawing.
