• I'm Making An Online TShirt Store

I've decided since I'm not old enough to have a real job I would open an Online T-shirt store, but I need ideas.. I'm using illustrator to make the designs and I already made the first one but I could do with a few pointers from people more experienced in vector designs. The site is aimed at british teens, around my age. (15) The Logo: My first T-Shirt Design: The t-shirts are not yet public, I'm still not happy with my first design, the bear looks weird though.. any ideas what else I could put?? Constructive Criticism Please.
I wouldn't recommend plain white. Personally I'd rather have that design on a blue shirt. [editline]01:52PM[/editline] Actually, looking closer, the bear does appear to be a cripple.

Definitely. I love the concept, it's just the weird bear that's holding it back.

uh, he allready told about his age. Read the thread.

I FAILED misserably :fuckyou:
:D its okay :P haha
I'm 16 and live in Britain and I agree that you shouldn't have it on a plain white shirt
Give a choice of colours? Red or blue IMo would be nice with that.
Okay (: thanks guys Any ideas for upcoming t-shirts anyone?? What to put on them?
can i make a design?:D
Erm, sure.. :D A4 size though please? :D I will put it on the shop when i finally get it up and runing properly.. and any profit made from that T-Shirt can go to you (:
I'd say half of the profit should go to you and the other half to me :) How many pixels are A4 by the way?
I like the logo idea, but I think the font is a bit too hard to read- make the letters more obvious.
as ambitious and good natured as this is... you don't actually plan on ACTUALLY setting up an online store do you? cause as cool as that would be theres a shit ton of work to do first.. do you even have a way of printing these shirts? do you have the skills to program your own site and the money to pay for advertising? have you, or are you going to register your buisness and copy right your name/logo? not trying to be a dick.... just trying to point out the realities of this project. If you have all that covered, good on you. maybe if you show a website and all that you might get artists helping you out. I might even help out. But time is money and nobody wants to waste theirs...

Nah, he told me i should have all the profit. I said that he should atleast have half of it. I would do it free. meh

But time is money and nobody wants to waste theirs...
I do actually plan on setting up a store, I do infact have a bigcartel store currently up, I could press a button right now and be putting a t-shirt out now, as stupid as big cartel sounds, if the company gets big enough I can pay a monthly subscription and have a checktwice.com style domain, with absolutely none of the bigcartel advertisement, which is already so so minor. As for that, my parents have agreed to give me £100 if I can get at least some shirts sold.. I'm not intending to copyright or register it yet.. it's not even really active as of yet, I'm not going to throw money at a potentially dead market. I see all your points and they are all totally valid. I didnt want to post the link because of the fact that I would probably get banned for advertising.. but yeah Please note that I am intending to make it serious and put money into it, it's just not really worth just yet, while im still in the first designing stages. To make this ban safe: By clicking the link below you understand that it is only a preview website, not live and active. www.checktwice.bigcartel.com [editline]12:53AM[/editline]
Nah, he told me i should have all the profit. Haha, I'm not too worried about total profit yet, any money I make for now is going straight back in to help boost this off the ground! (: Anything free would be totally appreciated, but for now I'm happy to place other designs on if I think they're suitable. (: As for the whole A4 thing Width: 2480px Height: 3508px Although Adobe Illustrator is prefferable simply because of the vector qualities..
well, i don't want money for a design when i make one. But i see you like simple designs, do you want stuff like that, or doesn't it matter?
Okay, well if when you do it (if you still decide to) you give me your name it'll go with the tee (: Erm, it doesnt matter really, i want the Gramophone to be a kind of emblem to my clothing though.. something to remember it by.. but i can easily add it in after (:
