Looking for an LGA 775 w/ DDR3 1600 Memory Standard Mobo

It's been a long, long time since I purchased any parts for my computer; last time was probably about 4 years ago now when I did my big upgrade overhaul. Since then I've paid no attention to PC components, and I've forgotten effectively everything. I've gone through newegg looking at the LGA 775 boards (I'm rockin a Q9450 processor; series of 45nm cpu's that got released RIGHT before i7 / i5) that support DDR3 - I accidentally bought these 2 gig sticks not recognizing that my (apparently old as shite mobo that I spent 300 bucks on release for) mobo couldn't support DDR3
so tl;dr I know nothing about north / south bridges and am looking for a cost effective way of getting myself to be able to combine my nice new RAM with all of my current components (Q9450, 700 watt PSU, 8800GTS - lookin' to upgrade soon enough to a 460) that won't poop itself when I install it.
Also, any good alternatives to "Artic Silver 9"? I don't remember it being 20 bucks a tube when I put my PC together.
I was going to reccomend an EVGA 790i Ultra, but it seems they're no longer made and out of stock everywhere.

If you can manage to find one, I'd highly recommend that board as well.
But it was discontinued nearly a year ago, so that's not happening.
Even when the 775 socket was still alive, you had a limited selection of chipsets with DDR3 1600 standard, and now that the socket is pretty much dead, good luck with that.
If you can't find one, just settle for a 1333. The RAM can always be underclocked.
Yeah, it is a really nice board. Mine's been working great since I bought it in 09. I'm planning on using it until LGA 2011 comes out.
Ebay those ram sticks, and buy some DDR2 modules asap.
They're becoming expensive, due to memory manufacturers focusing on DDR3.

Artic cooling MX-2 or MX-3
Sell the DDR3 and get some DDR2 if you aren't going to upgrade your CPU to a LGA1155 or LGA1366 (which IMO doesn't sound necessary, Q9950 is very decent for few years still).
Upgrading your motherboard just to go from DDR2 to DDR3 won't benefit you in any way (assuming the amount of RAM stays the same), but it will cost you way more than just getting DDR2 in the first place.
Sorry for thread Hi-jacking, butI'm in the same boat, cept i'm just looking for a Mo-Bo that will let me bump the FSB past 400 MHz without crapping itself. Ram technology is irrelevant.
