Rebels in the Central African Republic (CAR) have entered the capital Bangui, according to witnesses.
Residents said hundreds of Seleka rebels were now fighting running battles with government troops.
Seleka began their offensive earlier this week, accusing Mr Bozize of failing to honour a peace deal signed in January - a charge he denies.
Rebel spokesman Nelson Ndjadder said they had shot down a government military helicopter and were now heading for the presidential palace.
This war has barely been getting any coverage, so here's the deal:

Those rebels know how to come up with some names.
Union of democratic forces for Unity, the Popular Front for Recovery and the Convention of Patriots for Justice and Peace.
Also seems like the rebels are going to win, France and US washed their hands a long time ago.
I've always thought that was one of the most practically named countries in the world.
After South Africa
What about Australia
What about Australia
What about South Korea and North Korea
After South Africa
Nar, it needs any extra description like 'Republic'.
What about South Korea and North Korea
Technically North and South Korea are known as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea respectively. Wouldn't say either are very practically named.
I think y'all are forgetting about one of the most practically named countries.
The United States of America.
Like, our country is literally a bunch of states that are united in North America. C'mon
Update: French troops have been deployed to secure Bangui's airport

How about "Newfoundland"
I swear as soon as they seen land they just said "Hey guys, we found new land!" and thus became Newfoundland.

No, America is an entire portion of the planet that includes North and South America and the USA only takes up part of the northern.

it's still states of america that are united?
it just so happens that they're only in the north

But you know exactly where the Central African Republic is located in which continent and what type of governance they allude to.
With the USA, you just get told that there are some states in a vague part of half the world and that they are united.
