A high school in Washington state raising money for orphaned children in Ghana is tormenting students into donating by playing Justin Bieber’s “Baby” over and over on the intercom system.
The particularly cruel form of torture is the brainchild of student body president Connor Stakelin, who blasts the tune on repeat in between class periods and during lunch
“For some of them it’s incentive to donate because they don’t want to hear it anymore.”
As of Monday afternoon, students had raised more than $332, just shy of the goal of $500 to benefit Crossover International Academy in Ghana.
Organizers hope the money, combined with cash from other schools in Tenino, will provide food and supplies to the orphans through April.
The sooner the school reaches its goal, the sooner students will get relief from the Biebs.
“We’re done listening to that song over and over again. It’s getting very bad. I just want to go home,” student Jasmine Moore told King5.
O fuck spelling mistake
This should be made illegal under the Geneva Convention. This is one of those things where the ends, no matter how noble, do not justify the means.
This principle needs to be brought to justice, this is a CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY!
this is golden, people called Connor are sadistic fucks, [sp]me too[/sp].
Just like using Britney Spears to fend off Somalian pirates; bravo
But this must be horrible to experience at the school.
I still think one of the ultimate torture techniques you could do to a man is place him in prison with indefinite solitary confinement. The kicker is that there are massive speakers surrounding the room with only one song in its library. Girlfriend by Justin Bieber, and every Friday the song Friday is played for 24hours; being the only other song that can be played.

332 is not just shy of 500... it's only about 60-65%
That aside this is cruel and unusual punishment, the more disturbing part though is that at least one of them is enjoying it.

You can feel the pain in her voice
I honestly don't care what song they have on repeat all day, I'd threaten to sue. That is ridiculously cruel. Hell I'd even say it's extortion.
First Gitmo now this!

After a few months of this, Friday should then be played on a different day at random. Just watch them snap and freak the fuck out

"gotta get down on Friday"
"gotta get down on Friday"
"gotta get down on Friday" on Tuesday

Don't they do stuff like this in Gitmo?
isnt this like the definition of extortion
Don't they do stuff like this in Gitmo?
Nah gitmo music is better.
Seriously thought this was going to be an Onion article even after reading the OP.
As if high school wasn't a miserable enough experience already.
Here's something with a similar concept:
You walk into an Apple store. You look at some Iphones but realize, "Shit these are expensive.". The store manager says "If you don't buy one I'm going to have these thugs keep pushing you back into the store until you purchase one.".
Extortion in schools at it's finest.
this sounds like the kind of story I'd see on 9gag with a heavily compressed jpeg and a few ragefaces proclaiming it epic.
This qualifies as torture.
People are gonna blame this juston Bieber

Honestly, this is how I'd wish for this to end if I was forced to listen to this shit because of a single person.

In some american prisons they play Barney the dinosaur songs over the intercom to subdue roudy prisoners
This is worse than waterboarding ten fold.
My high school was fucking retarded and didn't put locks on the big power mains outside the building.
If this happened while I was attending I would flip them all down and put the thickest locks I could on those things.

Goddamnit why am I named Connor
Honestly I don't understand the belief that "Bieber's music is torture", the music is fine for what it is, but what this principal is doing is extremely funny.
Jokes aside, the principal should be sacked for this.
This is extortion plain and simple. Also arguably torture as music is used as a form of torture.
I genuinely can't tell if you're joking because there's people that actually think like you. It's a pop song, calm down.
We did this at my high school for fundraisers quite a few times, and even played Baby during one of those times. I realize it's pretty much extortion but it honestly wasn't that bad. But we always did raise the funds in a week tops, so there's that. :v:

Depends, why do you enjoy watching that girl cry.
