Right now this is the first source to report this, but they have always been reliable and have taken especial care to remain credible, being the official Euromaidan twitter account.
The moment the first body shot dead appears, all hell will break loose and will probably end in a coup, seeing how enraged the people are right now
also here is a fresh video of protesters preparing and mixing molotov cocktails

and here is footage of yesterday

Nothing good can come of this, and if this leads to intervention by other countries, we're going to have some bad shit on our hands.
I hope this gets defused, and soon, otherwise there'll be blood in the streets and civil war after that.
This is going to shit quick, I hope this gets fixed soon.
And thus, blood will be shed.
Holy shit, that horde of people armed with (wooden?) swords and shields was something out of medieval times. Then explosions. What the fuck is going on over there?
This is a pretty big thing to trust on a twitter account, no matter how reputable.
ah, the smell of civil war and fighing, chaos grows ever higher in this terrifying world of brutality, havoc, and suffering.
And here we go.

An attempt at totalitarian governing vs. the people who don't want their basic democratic rights to be suppressed.
They don't want anybody to question their decisions, hence their recent "laws" and now the order authorizing use of firearms on civilian protesters.
I want Zakharchenko to get an ass beating.

Ahh, I assume its in retaliation to the passing of the Enabling Act? If so, god speed to everyone fighting back.
Hate to play devils advocate here, but they can still use rubber bullets in those fire arms, but since all we have for now is a tweet we can only hope they have the common sense to use them.

It's too late, their leading political class has already proven that it has rubber for brains - bounces back and keeps trying to pull the same shit no matter how much the public tell them to not do so.
and nobody is coming to help because russia

Then it's up to the police/military to step up to the plate, protect the people's intrests, and, slap some sense to the political class.

The police in the process of beating protesters with full criminal immunity?
What has happened there. For the past few months I've been dismissing what was happening there as a pretty minor thing but these past few days really put things into perspective. Whats happening there is going to go down in history.
I feel like the Ukraine is about to collapse.

I really need to start reading more about what's happening these past few weeks in the ucraine.

Fuck the Russian government. It's always treated the Russian people and everybody else badly.
I feel so bad for the Ukrainian people.
Such a big country, so much potential, but they're the most failed ex-soviet country. And now it will get even worse, like it wasn't bad enough already.

He even disikes putin:
Although he has credited Vladimir Putin for stabilizing Russia in the aftermath of the initial and turbulent years of the post-Soviet era, Gorbachev has become critical of both Putin and his successor (and predecessor) Dmitry Medvedev since at least March 2011.[52] His main grievances about the "tandem" are backsliding on democracy, corruption, and the dominance of security officers. Gorbachev is also dissatisfied by the fact that he has not been allowed to register his social democratic party.[53]
When being interviewed by the BBC to reflect on the 20th anniversary of the August Coup, Gorbachev again announced his dissatisfaction with the policies and rule of Putin. Speaking of the status of democracy in the Russian Federation, he proclaimed: "The electoral system we had was nothing remarkable but they have literally castrated it". Gorbachev also stated that he believed that Putin should not have sought a third term as the Russian president in 2012.[54]
In response to the 2011 Russian protests as a result of United Russia's controversial victory in the Russian legislative election, 2011, he called on the authorities to hold a new election, citing electoral irregularities and ballot box stuffing.[55]
In a political lecture delivered to the RIA-Novosti news agency in April 2013, Gorbachev decried Putin's retreat from democracy, noting that in Russia "politics is increasingly turning into imitation democracy" with "all power in the hands of the executive branch". Gorbachev addressed Putin directly, stating that "to go further on the path of tightening the screws, having laws that limit the rights and freedoms of people, attacking the news media and organizations of civil society, is a destructive path with no future".[56]
Oh shit. This is bad.
Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse.
I hope to fuck this shit doesn't spread to Russia.
Im visiting in a month.

Good, glad they are allowed to charge back, I am from Ukraine myself (but luckly live in Ireland now) - people deserve it, they asked for it by striking and throwing molotovs last night at riot police who just stand there and can't do anything about it.
Hope half of the scumbags who are trying to provoke forces to attack will get shot - at least they tried to provoke them and suceeded in their goal.
