i'm looking for a joystick for flying in some of the games i play, mainly Project Reality and ArmA 2/OA.
i've never even bothered owning a joystick before so i'm not really sure what i should look for. i don't want anything super nice as it won't be used a whole lot, i'm hoping for something about 20-25 USD
i looked on Newegg but the cheapest was one with bad reviews and the second cheapest was around $40 after tax and shipping and also didn't have very good reviews
If you're talking about the Extreme 3D Pro, its actually a nice joystick. Its only problem is it tends to lose its center after about six months. But a temp fix that seems to work for most is just unplugging it and replugging it back in. You may have to do it a few times to get it right but it seems to recalibrate it self and stay good for a while as long as you don't unplug it again.

what do you think of this one?

BestBuy has it in store for $25, but i don't have a bestbuy in my city and the closest one i don't even know how to get to
even after tax and shipping it only comes out to $22, which is still a nice saving
If you really want something cheap, the Extreme 3D is quite probably your best option. A friend of mine has one, and it works smoothly for him. The unplugging and replugging is evidently no hassle at all.
well, if you want quality, you can look on ebay for an old sidewinder force feedback 2, probaly not cheap, but its an amazing joystick, I have an X52Pro, the FF2, and a wingman force 3d, the wingman force is a great joystick for the price, got it at a surplus store for like 8$

Yeah, getting them in his price range is probably doubtful. Last I checked ebay, they were ranging from about 50$ to 200$. Seriously, 200$. I know because I wanted a sidewinder force feedback 2.
This is the one I use for flight sims:

It's a little out of your price range, but it works awesome.
look on ebay for a saitek x45, better to pay a bit more for a good hotas than buying a cheap pos that you dont like using
theres one on there for $30 atm didnt fully read the description but at a glance i didnt see anything about it being broken
Im still using my Logitech Wingman 3D. The thing is 10 years old, and does everything perfectly.

i have to agree - it simple to use and has all the stuff most games need

Honestly, I just got mine by looking for a good buy it now deal on eBay. It's simple, has 3 axises, a hat switch, a bunch of buttons, and a rumble feature. I don't remember the exact name, just that it had FX in it. And I think it had Raiden in the name, too. But in any case, just look for a 3 axis joystick on eBay and find a good buy it now one.
