I'm looking to rebuild my PC into a smaller case for portability reasons.
Does a case exist that takes 3x3.5", full ATX motherboard, 164mm cpu cooler (optional) and 300mm graphics card while itself being around the same size as the lian li a05 series? (of which the only flaw is like 1cm of gpu length)
Small ATX cases tend to be shit.
If you have that Lian Li case, I think that's about as good as you're going to get with a full ATX motherboard and a full length GPU.
If you want it to be more portable, you might invest in a carrying strap. I know Antec made them for their full sized desktop server cases once upon a time (I have one). They're a bit awkward on large cases due to the center of gravity being off and the size, but on a smaller case they should be fine. I'd put some padding around the case though, Lian Li cases aren't exactly durable (the anodized aluminum scratches easy.)

I'll look into a strap, thanks
My current case is the original NZXT Phantom, so it's basically huge and bordering on impossible for one person to lift with the internals inside
Yeah, I know what you mean. My Antec server is 60 lb, and it's a chore to move it around when it needs maintenance.

Start doing weights with it :v:

only problem is the dimension and the fact you're carrying expensive equipment...
