i need a vm for xp, is there anything i need for my win 7 home premium to run one?
I recommend VirtualBox
Works without a hassle, fast, easy to use, open source, supports a wide range of guest OS, pretty stable and supports 64-bit OS'.
MSVPC sucks ass, VMWare is slower than VirtualBox for me, VirtualBox is free and open source.

Comes with pre-install and working Win XP

You only get WinXP in VPC if you have Windows 7 Pro, Ent, or Ult.
I recommend VirtualBox.
Another vote for VirtualBox. OP be sure to install the guest additions for the integration features.
it always says that the device disconnected when i try to connect a usb device other than that it works great
