• Memory Error? / PC Crash While playing Arma 2: DayZ Mod

So my computer crashes as said when playing DayZ. It seemingly happens at random times. I think this may be a memory error since it affects the entire computer. (As DayZ crashes only a horrible static can be heard from the game and all the textures flash, then when I close the application Skype gives me and error, google chrome crashes and I can't start any application without getting the not responding window). Windows seems to just lock up completely. However this only happens when playing A2 DayZ mod. I use 3ds Max and Adobe After Effects a lot and on many occasions I've been using up to 7.5/8GB of RAM fine with no problems what so ever, and it's not like DayZ would use that much. I've tried running it in windowed mode, full-screen mode, forcing DX 9 but it always crashes in the end. Another possibility I've been considering is if it is possible that Skype and A2 conflict in some way? Triggering the crash. I used to have the problem of my PC blue-screening while playing DayZ, however I re installed Windows which seemed to fix this. But I think the two may be linked. I've been monitoring my system with SpeedFan on my other screen while playing and never did my GPU or CPU overheat. My System Information: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 8GB RAM (4GB Kingston which I added, and 4GB of whatever the standard RAM that came was) Pheonom II x4 850 CPU nVidia GTX 460 (latest drivers installed) ASRock N68-S3 Motherboard ATX 500W Powersupply 1TB HDD
What are the temps? (You can test with furmark & prime95)
I suggest running memtest: www.memtest.org I suggest using v4.10 because v4.20 has a bug on some hardware that causes a ton of false errors on tests 5 and 7. You can try 4.20 first, but if you get a mile long list of errors on tests 5 or 7 that all look the same then go back to 4.10.

I have feeling that it might be an overheating or motherboard issue some how. I'll get the applications you suggested and take a look.
Also use HWMonitor to check temps
Speed fan reports inaccurate temperatures. It has been made and damaged by a smack against a wall.
Speed fan reports inaccurate temperatures. It has been made and damaged by a smack against a wall.
For me SpeedFan temps are accurate, but then again I feed my veins with Intel motherboards. Besides, SpeedFan is developed for changing the fan speeds.
