Fixed cheating with crouch
There was a bug with crouching where you could crouch, uncrouch and then crouch again while you were still uncrouching - and your view would stay in place. This was being exploited by people to shoot over boxes while being fully ducked behind them.
Fuck!
Fixed infinite loop when spawning entities
If your GMod was freezing up when trying to spawn some entities - you were getting the infinite loop bug. This is now fixed!
I've had this fucking problem for
SEVEN YEARS

Odessa is now colourable.
FUCK YES.
Did this raise the workshop filesize limit?
anyone got a before and after of the citizen models?

(that and the fact that they're colourable, of course)
Nooooooo, say what you want about the crouch bug, but it was great for shooting between openings in cover that were too low to shoot through while standing, but too high to shoot through while crouched. I was actually hoping more games would put a system like that in, similar to ARMA3.
Would it be possible to bring the system back if the player model reacts accordingly, IE raises a bit up? It was really useful and it'd be a shame to lose it

here's how the lady citizens look like with the revamp, too

this is only group01 at the moment, i'll try and get group02 the same stuff for the next update. group03 (the rebels with all the gear) is more complicated because of the insane number of combinations and everything, but maybe eventually. idk.
I like how enhanced the citizens are, but their jeans look way too fashionable for combine-issued atire.
I like how enhanced the citizens are, but their jeans look way too fashionable for combine-issued atire.
keep in mind it's only for the playermodels, the actual hl2 citizens are unchanged.
keep in mind it's only for the playermodels, the actual hl2 citizens are unchanged.
So the players look snazzy but the citizens are the same downtrodden appearance. Nice. :v:
When I get that startup glitch where I'm not getting a connection to my Workshop addons, should I be waiting on Steam to reconnect, or should I have to restart the game?
Does this update fix that damn gmod startup problem with awesomium_process.exe?
So the lua file limit is still present?
You really, really need to tone down that phong, Max. By a lot! Right now it looks like all their clothes are covered in oil or slime.
The baked AO folds in the cloths are not very good, imho.
Also the normal maps on this guy are quite bad:

Now if you're going to be fixing this, disregard this part of the post.
The wrinkles on the arms are ok, but the folds and wrinkles on the shirt look atrocious. The female citizen's normal maps look better, if you could make the male's normal maps more like that, it'd be a lot better.
On another note, if these are going to be the player models, and not meant to look much like the citizens, I would suggest changing the texture (doing more than just removing the buttons on the front) to make them more unique.

I'll have to agree with the shirt thing. shirt wrinkles need to be a lot softer. At the current moment the wrinkles make the shirt look stiff as hell.
Oh those color civilians look great. Now I don't have to DL multiple models for the color I want.
I don't get how you can be bitching about the models when the patch hasn't been released yet?
I don't get how you can be bitching about the models when the patch hasn't been released yet?
It's not bitching, it's constructive criticism. It ensures we don't end up with something that's crap when the update is finally released (not saying it is crap, but it can be better).
It's better to say, "oh, this looks wrong, maybe you could/should do this to make it better." than just go "oh, this looks wrong, I guess I'll wait and see it in game, then say it's wrong." By which time the skiner could be tired of doing the skin. In other words, it's better to get it right the first time, than go back and redo it over and over.

ideally you would be able to choose whether you want a bland shirt, a dress shirt, a plaid sweater or whatever but that would require coding an extensive system for it and garry has bigger fish to fry.
so "plain generic shirt" it is.

Artistic critique, there's a reason this subforum exists.

I can't really tell too well from the .gif, but the clothing folds still seem a bit off to me.
I don't mean add plaid shirts, sweaters, or dress shirts. I mean make the main shirt look less like the Citizen's Jacket to make it more unique compared to a citizen's.
Does the steampipe thing mean that we finally will be getting l4d2 mounted?
Oh hell yeah

Yeah. I reduced the strength of the normals a bit and the strength of the diffuse bake quite a bit more (they did look too dark)
here are the normals alone if you're wondering:

(only cs:go has a spawnlist for now though)

Looking better, but it's still a bit too shiny, imo. Remember it's fabric, look at your own clothes, do they shine like that? I understand it does look a bit more muted when you apply the texture to it, but still..
Something just seems off about the pant and sleeve wrinkles still. Maybe they're too big...

Yeah the shirt does look like it's made of leather.
Is Gmod's website down for anyone else?
