Windows 7 install requires "missing" CD Drive Driver

Ok well the problem is this. I have a Dell dimension e310 and im trying to put windows 7 on it. So the install launches quickly and everything and when it comes to the install, it says there are missing drivers for the CD/DVD drive. The CD drive is this:
HL-DT-ST GCC-4482B
If you simply put that in google with "firmware" after it, you get plenty of links. All i am downloading is a .exe file. What do i do to put this driver on a USB flash drive so windows 7 installer can read it? Thanks!
Hmm... Have you considered putting the entire installation disk on a Flash Drive or external hard drive, and installing from that? Then you can install drivers as you see fit.
i tried but it doesnt want to work. I gave up anyway. Im going to put windows vista on it instead.
That error usually relies on the disk not having everything it should have.
dude waht are u talking about? I just want the .iso for it.
Seconding Pepsi-cola.
The only time you get issues with missing drivers is when you use a dodgy disk. Buy a legit copy or find a better download.
