Oh boy these comments
“You’re Going To Kill So Many Men In Far Cry 4″ Men? Why can’t we kill so many women? #misogyny #whyweneedfeminism
Looks a lot like FarCry 3. Honestly, I'm okay with that.
The MG42 sounds too weak and doesn't seem to sport the high firerate it has.
That some kind of Sten? Or some Japanese WWII SMG?
What I don't like is that all the weapons look so damn clean. They're all in 100% condition. Why not add some neat features to them, like ragged wraps around parts of the AK's foregrip. Or some scratches along the MG-42. I don't understand how they get weapons you'd see only SWAT teams and Spec Ops wielding. Iunno. I just don't think they're being imaginative with weapons.
basically far cry 3 in a cooler setting with way nicer graphics also co-op i'll buy it
MP34
Ah I remember. The second rate cousin that replaces the MP-40 in games on occasions.

The second you kill a guy and the gun falls from their hands every metal surface instantly rusts.
Doesn't FC3 have co-op? I've never played it but I saw the option in the menu.
It did, but it was an entirely seperate campaign that was all instanced missions and not any open world roaming iirc.
It did, but it was an entirely seperate campaign that was all instanced missions and not any open world roaming iirc.
At least the story was better and the characters in the co op campaign weren't atrocious to even listen.
it's a fucking abomination to have a railed mp34 "what's that?" "oh nothin', just my scoped surpressed RIS chassepot with grenade launcher and laser pointer"
This game is gonna be fuuun
it's a fucking abomination to have a railed mp34 "what's that?" "oh nothin', just my scoped surpressed RIS chassepot with grenade launcher and laser pointer"
The rails do serve a purpose, you know.
yeah guns are thing of beauty i mean its not like scopes or sights or other attachments have a function
They do, they just look awful on classic antique weapons.
They do, they just look awful on classic antique weapons.
Scopes on SMGs are pointless
cool, doubt a dictator/rebel group fighting eachother for their homeland give much of a shit
Of course, I'm just stating a point in between the "eww tacticool on my antique firearms?" debate. An ACOG Scope and a foregrip would be beneficial on say that MP-40, at the cost of it's unique look being tarnished by modern design.
cool, doubt a dictator/rebel group fighting eachother for their homeland give much of a shit
that's a weird argument because if they realistically didn't give a shit then they would have bought 20 more handbuilt AKMs for the price of importing a relatively rare ww2 smg that was never domestically produced in asia and then machining rails on top of em. but here we are [editline]5th October 2014[/editline] but that's okay . the rails look good on the mp43
Cotton Hill's going to be happy.
I love how almost everything in that trailer can be done in Far Cry 3.
In the weapons video, he's holding what was the worst gun ever of our child hoods. The Klobb as it was known

I'm disappointed to see Vector and P416 again. Both feel too modern for FC3 and now FC4.
Would you rather have weapons jam on you and eventually explode in your face like in Far Cry 2?
Yes because it was a neat feature [editline]5th October 2014[/editline] But what really bothers me is that they showcase weapons that were in FC3 instead of only the new ones it FC4.
I read somewhere that they wanted to do a hardcore type mode if players were interested. It would be cool if they had the old weapon jamming from FC2 be an option, but I seriously doubt it because that would be a lot of work implementing on every weapon.

Because without that, and the stupid bullet spongy enemies, you ended up shooting your gun a lot more, and therefor jamming it more, and every single fight was way more frustrating than it should have been and the entire product suffered.
having rng decide what your outcome in a fight is not a good feature maybe if it was like stalker and it was quantifiable to know how often it would jam, and there was a way to fix guns, but there wasn't.
You could tell how often you gun would jam based on how degraded it looked, probably isn't the best system but I like it far better than looking at some percentage number. And does no one remember that there was a giant weapon shop that contained fully repaired versions of all the weapons you bought? I never actually had my weapons jam or break in Far Cry 2 as often as people say they do. There were always enough ammo stockpiles and weapon storage points around to allow me to keep using my weapons instead of having to pick up enemy weapons (which are always on the verge of destruction). While more "retro" and competitive shooters are better when they are predictable, singleplayer modern military open world sandbox ones benefit more from a harmless variable to mix up the gameplay every so often. It's like saying that the wildlife in FC3 was bullshit because they kept coming in to enemy strongholds and messing with your perfect stealth plan. [editline]5th October 2014[/editline] So now I am going to be an asshole and say that if you had trouble with weapon degradation in Far Cry 2, then you were playing the game like a complete idiot.
Far cry 4 will just be far cry 3 with DLC's But im ok with that. Im so looking forward to it
I never really enjoyed the weapons in Far Cry 3. They all feel so weak. The only game that has ever had good gun feel was CS:GO imo. Everything felt strong and sounded strong. Here, even the MG42 sounds like a pea gun.
