Hello facepunchers again, I just want some advice on instaling RAM for my windows 7 32bit machine. I know the right RAM I need as I looked on the mobo's box. I do have the 64bit disk, however, I'm quite fully installed on 32bit and I have all my games, programs and everything installed, it'd be quite annoying to install 64bit. I only have the uprade edition however (Upgrade DVD) and not the full disk, but I'm sure you can update using that. My Windows 7 is completely legit. I have 2 questions. 1) IF I get an extra 2GB of ram, how much will I see, or should I stick to just an extra 1GB? 2) Is it worth upgrading to 64bit and is it worth the hassle upgrading just for the extra RAM? Thankyou.
if you are planning on going for above 4 GB's of Ram them 64bit is the choice. But if you are not, then just stick with what you have. In addition, 32-bit OS drivers are easier to find.
Your GPU counts to your total memory as well. You don't want to add another 1GB due to it being dual channel. For 2GB it's best to get a 64bit OS as like I said your GPU counts towards the memory 32bit supports and therefore you will lose out on some RAM.
Sorry but we can't tell if you windows 7 is legit unless we have the key. :smug:
That is clearly photoshopped.
I agree, there are a few pixels out of place.
How do you know what RAM you need just by looking at the MOBO box?
