I dont get guild wars 2 anymore. They add a new dungeon which sounds cool as fuck then they remove it 12 days later things like this is gonna make me stop playing anymore beceuse whats the point of a sub free game when every month the new content goes in flames.
Exclusivity is a really important thing in online games. Just think about TF2 with earbuds and Bill's hat.

The content from the dungeon stays but the events go. Other games do the same thing.

the one-time events are to get people to play it now. The Rox/Braham story arc is dynamically moving (and finally picking up pace), They each had an instance of their own this past month, along with a massive retro jumping puzzle. Enjoy it while it's fresh and people are actively playing the new content, if everyone just sat there thinking "eeeeh, I'll get around to it", you won't have much activity at a content launch, and people will likely forget to actually get around to it.
the devs are actively listening to the community, ever since the one-time Karka event (which went kind of glitchy for some people), people have stated clearly they enjoy these one time events, something to say "yeah I was there, it was great and I can't wait for what's next". I'll have to doublecheck whether the instance itself stays, I don't see why they'd scrap a large instance so fast. My guess, like stated before, is that the Rox/Braham line will end but the dungeon will remain in a replayable state- especially if the community says "hey we want this to stick around"
so play the content and go to their forums to say "why would you scrap this, it's cool and I'd love to have it stay", instead of sulking in a corner threatening to just be depressed and ignore it entirely
