Here's an idea. Turn that feature off and shit like that won't happen...
I tough by the title that it was about people having ads on the xbox one home screen but the actual news is way more hilarious
For a second, I though the Xbox One was turning itself on, and then playing an ad. This is much better and much more hilarious.
Does it also work with "xbox off"? If yes, then off I go to find someone on the verge of finishing a game without saving.
Imagine if they brought back those "go out and play" PSAs and at the end it would say "xbox sign off". "Hey now, you're a rockstar--" "FUCKING MUTE IT!"
better than the add they ran that turned xboxes off, but ya i wish i could set what commands are active to prevent this shit
I think they're doing this on purpose now, because every time the story goes viral and it hits a bigger audience
Didn't an ad do this same thing awhile ago?
Wasn't this happening to people that were trying to view last years e3 on their xboxs? They kept saying "xbox go home" or something and it'd go to the menu for the viewer.
Just end the commercial with "XBox Off" ...except iirc that has a confirmation message and wont work.

In Comp Sci, we had to create an IRC client, and the test server had an automated ChatBot that would reply to anything said, so someone decided to say "SQUIT" to it (A command that tells clients that the server has shut down), which disconnected the ChatBot until the lecturer fixed and rebooted it. It was funny to name yourself "SQUIT" and log into the server where everyone was testing their half complete IRC clients.
I still don't understand if this is an actual fuckup how did the people who made the console to turn on when you say Xbox on see no problem with saying... Xbox on in a video.
