It was alright, but the preview of the rest of the season they showed afterwards made it seem like a different show. This first episode was like, Character introduction, the start of a war, space action, decent special effects, then the previews was like a totally different show, focused on one character, not in a command position, with martial combat and not a lot of space anything

you know what SGU had over STD, better music I remember reading articles on the music going in a different direction and hoping fans will love it. I haven't seen articles on the music for the new star trek series [media]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_0ePaCFz2I[/media] maybe they'll have something good later on music wise but I doubt it.
