What sort of programs could I use for digital painting? I've been thinking of getting into it, but I'm not sure where to start. Any tips?
photoshop + tablet. but learn to draw first.
I've got both of those. I'm pretty decent at drawing some things, so I think I'm good. Any brush settings you guys would recommend?
Yeah definitely make sure you can draw decently with a pencil/pen, because a tablet will not make you magically better. But if you're really determined to get one, the wacom bamboo pen tablet isn't very expensive, so it won't be too much of a loss if you never use get into it. And as far as software, go for photoshop or I guess gimp, which is free. Oh well it seems you have both. 100% opacity, and these brush settings. Hmm. When I set the control to pen pressure, it won't draw at all. Does having a VisTablet make any difference?
-snip, found it-
cool, can't wait to see your work.
