SANTA has helped firefighters on their annual Christmas lolly drop-off pull a young man from a burning house near Maitland.
The Telarah crew were in Rutherford about 2.30pm on Saturday when smoke billowing from a house on the corner of Regiment Road and Marlborough Street caught their attention.
They forced their way into the house, finding an unconscious man in the living room and a small fire in the kitchen.
Fire and Rescue NSW's Inspector Michael Woodward said the crew, including Santa, performed CPR until paramedics arrived on the scene.

What a great gift to get from Santa
I'd like to think the guy just saw the house on fire, and rushed to it thinking "Ho-Ho-Holy shit!"
the gift of life
