I recently acquired a dell inspiron mini 10 for cheap from dell outlet UK (Cheap excess stock).
The problem is that the screen appears to cut off halfway and only shows half of the text, now normally I would assume this was a resolution/drivers issue, but it is also happening in bios and during windows boot.
A Dell engineer has looked at the laptop but all he succeeded in doing was taking the ram out and deciding it was broken, I have fully stripped it down and rebuilt it and yet the problem is still there, also when looking at the screen in device manager it shows up as a different model screen (not sure on specifics) to the other inspiron mini 10 my family owns.
Dell have already sent a replacement and left this one with us for some reason, so fixing this would purely be nice for me to have another to sell/use as this was originally intended for my younger brother.
Basically is there any fix other than to replace the screen.
Pics (Terrible Quality, blame my phone and the lighting)

The small white line would appear to be a popup image, I believe the whole screen would appear to be stuck at 1024 x 768, even in bios, whereas this screen is designed for 1024 x 600.
pics would help.
