In the UK tax makes things cost more compared to the US of A So does anyone have any experience in importing parts and ensuring there sent as gifts ? Just seeing if its a viable option ?
Wait so you want to buy products on say newegg and send them to the uk?

Awesome but its really expensive i can bet. Im going to check. [editline]03:12PM[/editline] Youwould end up at the same price as just getting it in europe Its 15 pounds for really slow delivery for a cd...
........... hmm ok ive had a PDA delivered in the past my the states all I needed was a power converter. that was a fair bit cheaper ill see postage on newegg. scratch that they dont deliver internationally never looked into buy from there.
HOLY SHIT that's some expensive shit I tell you that! I can get like 50 CD'S for that Edit: And yes I am from Slovenia!
yea not to keen on that site nice idea though.
No set it to uk first that is to slovenia. Also you could easily make up to cost if it weighed like 20 pounds or so. So just get a case there and then import the rest.
At point of entry they may hit you with one or more of the following: VAT (a tax at 17.5%) Import duty (variable rate depending on item) A handling fee On top of that there is postage, insurance, long deliveries, pains in the ass if things go wrong and more http://www.dutycalculator.com/calculation/ For a $400 5870 from Newegg, you'd pay £52.27 for the VAT alone, then you've got to add all the other crap.
I wanted to do the same a few years ago, it will just work out to be more expensive and complicated :/.
