I turned a black and white photo of Barack and Michelle into COLOR

Check this shit out. I used After Effects, as I like the tools and non destructive editing there. Took several hours.

I think it's pretty good, except some colors are a little exaggerated, but I think that also makes it look good.
I knew it, Obama is actually white!
very cool, it feels like the shadows are a bit too bright for a colored photo, especially on the ground and under the cars

just reedited the image. he was looking a little too white.
There is a lot of cash in Colour Restoration, so keep at it!
And I think his skin might be a bit too saturated
Do this once a week and get insanely good, use reference images, etc.
a tiny bit of Michelle's sleeve is colored the same as her skin, otherwise this is pretty damn good!
why after effects though? PS is pretty nondestructive
As far as I can see this is labour intensive and not skillful or rewarding at all, so I'm a bit confused why you would bother unless you were commissioned for it

Exactly, I mean, I can't see why you should be allowed to have fun with experimenting with different graphic design techniques. You should only be doing this for $$$blingz, moron.
You didn't keep the luminosity levels intact. A lot of things that got darker and fucked up revealing the fact that you coloured it in rather than being natural.
Hair, armband and car on the left took a major darkness hit.
You can bring back the luminosity by taking the original photo, layering it over your finished colour photo and setting the blending mode to "luminosity". Then just mask away things that actually looked better without the luminosity kept intact.

Seems your only problem is borders on objects which is very hard to make perfect, so good job 8/10
Michelle's wrist where the bracelet is isn't part of her arm, it's that scrunchy bit on the jacket's arms.
