Here is the full consolidated text of the ACTA agreement, dated July 1st 2010. This is the full text from the Luzern round of negotiations, including the name of the negotiating parties along with their positions. It apparently comes from the civil liberties committee (LIBE) of the European Parliament.

Very interesting read. Farewell my freedoms. You were fun while you lasted.
This can't go through
What is this ACTA and what does it have to do with us?
UK told ACTA to fuck off.
:britain:
I'm sorry I just haven't been able to keep up with all this stuff.

Broke my automerge
What is this?
What is this ACTA and what does it have to do with us?
police can seize and copy your hard drive at airports without warrant
you don't even need to have evidence against you to be jailed for pirating; all you need is for a record company/movie publisher to accuse you three times
[editline]10:50PM[/editline]
can someone summarise this; it's too full of legal gibberish I can't make sense of it

We did?
Source?
Is there a list of countries this is going to affect?
I read that because of the US and EU stalemate regarding ACTA, the whole thing may be held up indefinitely.
Good thing I live in Canada.
:canada:
But in all reality, people need to control of the Government and not the other way around. Especially since the Governments are all driven by corporations.
If this keeps up, we'll eventually face the music

Canada's in the PDF too.
Fucking sickening, whatever happened to rule of law. What happened too innocent in till proven guilty, now it is turning it too guilty in till proven innocent. Just being accused of piracy 3 times or more will get you automatic jail time. Oh yeah, that is right our government is bought out by corporations, the rich get rich while the poor keep missing. Awesome.
All they're doing is making piracy and people who use it in to criminals, 98% of the people that actually do pirate wouldn't do anything illegal in their lives. What makes this even worse is the percent of people that actually pirate is really really small compared to people who buy the item. The sad thing about this too it isn't a physical object, it isn't a material item. It is DIGITAL, how can you sue someone over data?
Always hear this argument that fucking pirates kill businesses..then why are they still up spending millions of dollars fighting an digital "war." Oh that's right because they're not losing money.
This whole ACTA thing just makes my fucking blood boil.

I can just imagine it now.
(attempts to go through airport security with laptop)
"sir, we'll need to get a copy of your hard drive"
(misses flight while they spend 2 hours copying hard drive)
seriously, what idiot thought that that was a practical idea?

ACTA is a world-wide trade agreement. There really aren't any non-shit countries not participating.

My freedom has already been stolen enough as it is.
This really is fucking bullshit.
At least one Party in Government is going to do something about it.
The Pirate Party. :v:
This just pisses me off, I fucking hate the WTO and I especially hate anyone who supports ACTA.

WTO, gateway for megacorp to pay off governments.
Stupid dying companies, stop QQ'ing so much and messing with our freedom. >;3
This is just gone too far, if i bring a computer into an airport, I shouldn't have to give the police my laptop to make sure im not a :pirate:.
This is WAY to invasive.

They are planning to make free speech about piracy illegal.
This needs to die.
