I need your opinion on learning a new language, FP!

So, I'm thinking about learning Swedish, but I'm not sure if I can be bothered. I'm not saying I don't like Swedish (or Sweden for that matter, it's a beautiful country :D), but it's just that when I was in school I was learning Spanish and French. I was alright at French, but I was bloody horrible at Spanish. I don't know if it's that I didn't like the subjects or teachers, or if it's because I was just really bad, but I want to learn Swedish and not end up the same way! So Facepunch, what do you think? :eng101:
I suggest Russian.
It's not as difficult as many people claim and I somehow find it fascinating.
I think you should learn to punctuate in English first.
learn polish
all the fun of slavic languages without the annoyance of transliteration.

it's useful if you know a lot of polish people, plus a lot of good literature is polish (though it's not as famous as russian, go figure).
Sure The Witcher might not be up to Dostoyevsky's level, but it's a damn good series.
and you've obviously never seen the start of In Darkness :p
Learn Esperanto, have the basics to learn many other languages much easier
Give it a go if you feel like it, perhaps what you will learn or experience will renew your interest and you will end up knowing one more language, which is very useful nowadays.
German or Japanese.
Deutsch ist müll.
Du bist müll.
It depends on where you live and what your original language is. I would recommend German if you speak fluent english, but it might not be practical for your particular situation.
If you are learning languages just to be cool, Russian is one to consider. Italian is..funny to say the least.
I'm learning Korean so really there are no bounds.
Seconded the above, Korean is a fascinating language to learn. Think of all of the shit in NK documentaries that you wish you could read
Japanese is quite easy to learn aside from their thousands of kanji characters.
Japanese sounds fun.
