• Sudden Battery Issue with Asus Laptop

This started happening literally just now. I unplugged my laptop (Asus, model U47A) after it had been plugged in for hours, and it immediately shut off. I was confused, as I was sure that it should have been at least close to fully charged. I plugged the charger in again and was able to turn it on. Once it was booted up, looked at the battery interface--it said it had 0% and was charging. I looked at the battery LED in front of the keyboard and found that it was just solid orange. The last time I unplugged my computer was yesterday, and it was working just fine then. I'm not sure what could have caused this, but I'm assuming that the laptop isn't storing any power whatsoever. I'd be incredibly grateful if anyone could give me a hand with this.
Sounds like the battery is dead, time to get a new battery. You can get laptop batteries on Amazon for decent prices: http://www.amazon.com/LB1-High-Performance-Notebook-Computer/dp/B00CAB82W0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1414351195&sr=1-1&keywords=asus+U47A+battery I'm not sure if this is the correct battery, you'll need the full model name of the laptop or the P/N on the battery itself to make sure you get a correct replacement.
