...And because this is basically the biggest title in ATLUS’ history, we HAD to go all out and do one of our renowned special editions. Exclusive to the PlayStation 4 version of the game, the Persona 5 “Take Your Heart” Premium Edition is going to arrive in a massive, collectible box, and will contain the following:
Soundtrack CD: A selection of music from Persona 5 by legendary series composer, Shoji Meguro, in a CD sleeve featuring special P5 artwork.
4” Morgana plush: Morgana the Phantom Thieves’ cat is not just the mascot of the Phantom Thieves, but also a member – and also not just a cat! The premium edition includes an exclusive 4” plush of Morgana.
64-page hardcover art book: This art book is full of concept sketches, character art, and more by character designer Shigenori Soejima.
SteelBook: As strong as a vault, the game disc for the PS4 will come specially packaged in a SteelBook collectible case, emblazoned with Persona 5 designs.
School bag: Designed after the traditional school bags in Japan, the exclusive replica bag comes complete with the Shujin Academy crest.
The Persona 5 “Take Your Heart” Premium Edition will be available for $89.99!
For those just interested in the PlayStation 4 version of the game, we’re releasing Persona 5 in a special SteelBook® Launch Edition! All pre-orders and a very limited number of launch copies will come in an official, collectible SteelBook case, adorned with glorious Persona 5 art (identical to the one in the “Take Your Heart” Premium Edition). It’ll be $59.99 at launch! Just a reminder, this will be exclusive to the PS4 version.
And for all the rumor-mongers out there, I’m just going to go ahead and confirm this here and now. (What better place than PlayStation.Blog?) Persona 5 is 100 percent still coming out on PlayStation 3. And at launch, it’ll be $49.99 and come in a regular game case.
Now, even after all that, if you still are thinking: “Why 2017!? You promised us 2015, and then 2016! Now it’s 2017?!!!?!” Well, the biggest factor in the 2017 release date is attention to detail.
It shouldn't be a surprise to Atlus fans, but I was still a bit bummed and trying to come to terms with the fact the release is still 8 months away for us, and I feel bad for all those fans in EU regions.
I wish we got the anniversary edition, but that looks sweet too.
Shit only $90 for all that? Getting it.
EU doesn't exist in either ATLUS or Segas' eyes.
Oh well, guess I have to preorder it on Amazon.com. That collector's edition is really cool though.
If you have Amazon prime, the premium edition is up and you get 20% off. My total came out to $77.03.

It should come around, DAN Disco fever was available here.

Well, I guess we might hear some news closer to launch. Hopefully, it's not a problem for me whether I buy it in North America (Amazon) and get it shipped here or whether I buy it from a netshop locally.
Though I prefer buying my games locally. Thanks to the naughty shipping rate these days.

Have to appeal to different markets, don't see any issue with this. Unless they went full on censor mode with the actual game. I couldn't care less.
Damn I thought the CE would be the usual $120, $90 is a steal and it'd probably be even cheaper with if Amazon gives it the Prime preorder discount thing. Sadly gonna be sold out in like 5 minutes once it goes on sale though.
Edit: Oh shit it's already up, couldn't find it at first. Hopefully it's still available when I get home.

I now have both pre-ordered
No soundtrack with standard? I remember P4 came with one standard. Anyone know if Catherine did? I've got the disk, but then again, I only ever got the collectors edition for that one.

First copies of Catherine came with a soundtrack and an art book.

You can rest easy, Sega's doing the publishing, not Nintendo.

They had to move Morgana up otherwise they'd be Mike Wazowski'd by the ESRB logo. if anything, i'd wonder about ingame footage before screaming censorship. makes a bit of sense since she is the Mascot. they kinda need her there otherwise it might look a tad generic.
EDIT: Ninja'd.

Unreasonable what? This isn't an example of censorship.

Probably the fact that Nintendo Treehouse grabbed Atlus by the balls during the localization of SMT x FE. the progression of actually releasing it in Japan was sluggish that by the time it came out, another major FE game was released* in the West. it's basically trying to change a game for the sake of making it more "wholesome" (more money) despite being niche already, excising the SMT titling arguably makes it worse. Atlus made the engine and probably handled the main scenario themselves in cooperation with Nintendo in Japan. (didn't the Star Fox guy mention that the whole Xenoblade thing was a problem?)
Atlus should have been the ones to handle the game, they even did Nintendo a solid by actually using the words "Fire Emblem" in youtube videos before shortening it into the #FE seen in the TMS #FE logo.
Realistically, its' probably "progressive" hipsters with relatively safe jobs using the whole Gamer Gate/Anti-Gamer Gate/Gamer Culture/Whatever to look justified, since it's a pretty hot button subject thesedays. makes me wonder if Xenoblade was passed by them initially because it was niche (in their eyes) then when Europe did the heavy lifting, they snatched it in prep for Smash (with X). or those games that release in Europe but not in America like the Style Savvy and Inazuma Eleven series' (latter being Eshop...Soccer probably isn't as popular in the US).
* You could potentially see this in the release of Corrin's DLC in Smash Bros 4. NoA probably told them that enough is enough and actually release the game, instead of nitpicking issues and stretching the release dates to garnish their salories despite the only major things being script checking....and a whole lot of unused Audio.
I could see a SMT x FE game being done right if it was Atlus doing the artwork+translation whilst NoJ handles the gameplay elements. just make it an TBS, there's already relationship values in the Persona series so that'd sit right in for the sudden dating sim elements from Awakening onward whilst also having diverging plot (Alignments!) and even Moon phases as a difficulty vector. i just wonder if Nintendo would veto any chance at console FE games to cover the 3DS like they did by making Smash a dual-system release.
I'd still like to see a compare and contrast of the PS3/PS4 versions

Of course someone had to post this even though the reason was super fucking obvious why it happened, comparing the size of the 2 rating logos

But if you use logic, then you can't start a good old-fashioned "CENSURSHIPS!!!" outrage. Where's the fun in that?
