Unset Stone
Time is unset in stone
That is the story
That all elders moan
But when the fact is day
Won’t we be all left in dismay?
Unset stone baking in the sun
Waiting for words
To give a real reason to be done
Unset stone melting by the sun
Lived life to the fullest
And was never done
Pebbles in a lake
That’s what we all are
Living life on a game of give or take
But the elders sing of a song
Of dismay
Of how stones are unset
Until the writer words that day
Now the elders are gone
The elder’s song still rhymes though
You can’t let the writer of the stone
Lie down his bones
You can’t be the right one
You can’t be the righteous one
You can’t be the insane one
You can’t be that one
But the elders were wrong
We are the creative ones
We don’t just write the stone
We now make the tone
Is it gold or is lead
We only make our questions in the end
That how we live our end
We stop writing down our past
And actually live our life
Not my best or worst, but meh.
Really good actually :p
Thanks. I generally write song lyrics when I'm thinking of something off the top of my mind.
If that's "not my best or my worst" I'm interested in seeing what you think your best is!
Pretty good!
