• How does one whom has tried everything with no results gain weight?

I've wanted to gain weight since i was 14, back in 2004, which was the time when i stopped showing my arms or legs to anyone and then quit school when i was 16 because of it. I'm going to lie to myself and say that somebody will post the secret to gaining 15 pounds that I've been looking for all these years. What are some ways I could gain weight? Somebody suggested to make a thread here, they also implied I have tried nothing, which is wrong because I have tried nearly everything except for the "drink 20 gallons of milk a day" shit since I can't afford that and also don't want to kill myself trying. I decided to humor myself and post, so I could respond to every post with "tried that and it didn't work". Hell, if you can come up with something I haven't tried yet, I'll buy you something on steam for $5 or less. Only for one person though, i don't crap money. Some pictures to prove I am teeny tiny. Not IMG tagged because they're disturbing and I don't want to see them every time I refresh this page. Not a Bieber fan, but he's the only example i can think of that isn't from a gay porn or a female. Slim, but not bony, emaciated, or atrophied. And only maybe 20-25 pounds away. If anybody here could get me to look like THAT by July, I would willingly be your slave and worship you as a god and clean your feet with my eyeballs.
Eat alot. No junkfood, only high protein and calorie food. Have a calorie intake of 3000-4000. Do SS or SL or just lift any way you want but target all parts of your body. It's not impossible to gain. I was 105 pounds last year, now I'm 130. It's easy as fuck once you get the hang of it. Also read the sticky.
Soo... if you're really eaten well (+3000 calories ) and haven't gained weight you should see a doctor. That could have something to do with thyroid or digestion system malfunction. Post what you've eaten within the past 24 hours and we'll see what we can do about it.

Also my thyroid was normal when I last got tested but they haven't tested for and digestion disorders. Also, for some reason my doctor told me "oh you look completely normal", but one time i was in the hospital after attempting suicide and the woman doctor was telling me that she is concerned about my muscle atrophy. Not sure who to believe but i side with the woman on this one. [editline]8th January 2012[/editline] Also, I want you all to assume I'm extremely educated in the area of nutrition, because I am. I am only telling you this because people implying I don't know what I am doing pisses me off to high hell.
^^ This. If you're telling the truth you must have some sort of bodily condition, I know a dude who stays skinny due to a heart condition. If you're bullshitting (As people do) the only logical answer (Illogical being GOMAD, that's a pile of shit), is to eat on a calorie surplus above your basal metabolic rate (how many calories you burn per day whilst doing fuck all), which for most people is somewhere around 1500cal. Accompanied with weight training this can be very prudent, if you cannot get access to a gym or afford a decent set of weights, a bar, power rack and discs up to 250lb would suffice, you should do simple bodyweight exercises, such as pull ups, push ups and sit ups.

I really don't know why nothing works for me. I've done everything 'safe' and have not gained a pound. My height and weight back in 2004 was 5'7" and 104 pounds, i'm now 5'9" and 106 pounds.
1500 calories? well no fucking wonder eat more, lift and quit bitching
wait you lost 6 inches of height? what
And now seriously, how much calories and protein did you take when you tried to gain weight? You know, when bodybuilders say you have to eat a lot, it means really loads of food. Look it up. Just eat, eat, eat, eat. Chump up the food like never before, champ. Try this to really check if you REALLY know how much you should eat.
wait you lost 6 inches of height? what
Oops, that should be 5'9".
The fuck is this. Drink close to gallon of milk a day, lift weights, and eat 2k or more calories and you'll gain weight. Don't give me an excuse that you don't gain weight either, i gurantee you that you aren't eating enough food.
1500 calories? well no fucking wonder eat more, lift and quit bitching
1500 calories is my regular diet when I AM NOT TRYING TO GAIN WEIGHT and it's the amount I clearly need to maintain my weight.
Well I haven't been trying to gain weight in 10 months, so my current diet is my normal "weight maintenance" diet which is about 1500 calories a day on average.
I used to be a really skinny bastard too. I ate tons without gaining weight, and my friends always were jealous cause I'd never gain fat even though I ate all kind of shit all the time. Well, that's what I thought. When I actually started counting all the calories I ate and weighting the foods I realized I was eating pretty much around 1500-2000 calories a day. So try to weight everything you eat and have a pre-planned diet for every day, aiming for like 1000 calories over maintenance a day. That should give you a kilo per week. If that does not work, then something's fucked up.

I usually go for about 2 months, then give up because I either stay exactly the same weight or lose a few pounds. Then I try again 4-8 months later.
Wow, you look/ed perfect and amazing in that picture, that's exactly how I want to look, well actually I'd want to be very slightly smaller, but still. Also, TRUST ME, when I'm in "attempt to gain weight mode" i count and track everything down to the teaspoon; calories, carbs, sodium, the various forms of fat, the different vitamin and minerals, sugar. Only thing I do not track are the ingredients themselves. I go more in-depth than a generic w-rpg.
OP you haven't mentioned lifting in any of your posts. go and lift heavy shit
Well then there's little we can do. It'd be still interesting to see the statistics if you log everything you eat during the two weeks aiming for big calorie surplus and weight yourself every morning. I posted that as an example to show I used to look like a skinny rat too but w/e.
OP you haven't mentioned lifting in any of your posts. go and lift heavy shit
That's not going to do anything, also I have tried that several times anyway. You looked normal fit and healthy to me.. ah well, i'm glad you're where you want to be now though. :v: I suppose I would be glad to log and post the logs here, I will definitely use that automatic diet generator thing that somebody posted above, it's given me more information in 5 seconds than all visits to the doctors combined. I was actually trying to find something like that.
That's not going to do anything, also I have tried that several times anyway.
are you fucking kidding me
are you fucking kidding me
I am not. [editline]8th January 2012[/editline] If anything, that's just going to make me burn fat. [editline]8th January 2012[/editline] Which is probably why I would lose 2-4 pounds when I tried muscle building exercises even though I was eating twice as many calories as normal..
p stupid thread. Sounds like bullshit but idk. Go see a nutritionist or something.
how about doing it right next time? read the sticky and stick to the programs that are suggested there for a few months and let me guess 'twice as many calories as normal' means 3000? I was eating close to 3700-4000 cals on my bulk, so stop being a pussy and eat properly.

I gurantee that you aren't eating any more then 2k AT THE MOST.

I added 1500 and didn't gain an ounce. The weight i "gained" was all bloat that I shit out after 2 days of going back to normal diet. [editline]8th January 2012[/editline]
I gurantee that you aren't eating any more then 2k AT THE MOST.
Who are you to tell me that I haven't been counting calories correctly?
nevermind op is a stubborn idiot who created this thread only to bitch about his weight.
nevermind op is a stubborn idiot who created this thread only to bitch about his weight.
Wrong, I'm a person who has tried everything plausible with no results whom is asking here to see if anybody has any ideas that I haven't tried and wont kill me.
no you disregarded everyone's advice and rated them dumb for it aswell get the fuck out
no you disregarded everyone's advice and rated them dumb for it aswell get the fuck out
No, the advice I've received is great advice. It just doesn't work for me somehow. I have tried and tried again, the suggestions, in the past, and never gained a single pound. Want to stop instigating a fight and leave, please? I only dumbspammed because I got pissed off from: people insisting I don't know what I'm doing and people implying I am lying.
You pretty much have two options: 1) Eat more 2) See a doctor
So I guess I once again will give up. Oh well, thanks for the advice. So much for my dream of being able to wear tshirts.
What are you expecting us to say? If you are so sure you have some sort of black hole in your stomach, go see a doctor. If you don't want to do that, there's nothing to do but eat more (which, unless you have some sort of vary rare condition, will make you gain weight)
