eh, expected all realms to benefit from this. looks like i'll still be stuck on a dead realm cause i don't wanna spend £15 to transfer.
A week's not going to be enough, the servers are just going to absolutely get murdered. They've randomly had the free migration tool be broken for like, months at a time, and now this?
People roll on high pop realms for a reason. Nobody will do this. The only time I've done this was when I made a Death Knight on Draenor for shits and giggles and sent it to some random server at level 56. It's pointless. People like high pop servers.
did you ever think queue times were too fast? Want less raiding opportunities? blizzard has you covered
why would I move to a low population realm where the auction house is fucked, the trade chat is dead, the capital cities are dead, world pvp is dead (although, cross realm zones sometimes help this) and there aren't any good guilds I'm quite happy waiting for 10 minutes in a queue while I do something else
Outland => Grim Batol Ragnaros => Grim Batol Stormscale => Grim Batol Sylvanas => Grim Batol Twisting Nether => Grim Batol
Last time I was in Grim Batol's horde side, there was only one other player at shrine during a day. Besides, who wants to go Grim Batol since it's connected to Aggra, which is Portugese realm?
i thought they virtually linked servers so that players can seamlessly play from other servers? doesn't this mean they can just reallocate low pop servers to high pop servers or just add more servers to accommodate the high pop?
I'm not sure if the issue with High-pop is hard-coded server limits(although I've seen private emulators that can hold more than any of the high pop realms blizz has) or just poor hardware. We bought one of their old retired server boxes from an auction they put up on eBay and they weren't working with much.

I'm on Outland, and the queue later in the day is ridiculous, I've seen it at 1100 regularly and it can get worse.
Outland always has been bad, it's the highest pop realm. I'm on Sylvanas, 2nd highest, and the queues can get up to around 500/600 I've seen. Imo blizz shouldn't have bothered with any of the cross realm stuff and just left it as it is, I liked it actually mattering what realm you on and it deciding whether you can play with friends, do dungeons with friends, etc. Added a challenge to the game (although let's not get started on "challenge" in WoW these days) They should shut down low pop realms so that there's fewer realms but with room for more people on them, and then the population level would be fairly consistent between them all
I'm good with Thrall. It's a good balance between busy and suitable. I used to be on Stonemaul, Dalvengyr and Ner'zhul and sometimes those servers always felt so empty.
